IT System Administrator at Aveng

Job Description

Aveng Trident Steel centrally situated in Roodekop, Germiston and other facilities in Alrode, Durban, Port Elizabeth and Cape Town provide a wide product range to the steel industry in South Africa as well as internationally from their extensive steel yards, modern and comprehensive steel processing and steel service centers, specialty steel division and tube manufacturing plant. The incumbent will be responsible to provide technical IT support to computer system users. Provide support and assistance concerning the use of computer hardware and software, including installations and operating systems. Provide an IT support service to company staff, to configure the workstations of staff members adhering to legislative requirements and to maintain the hardware and software inventory databased. Train users on the software system and defined systems and procedures as well as the functionality of the software packages.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS (DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES)

• Administer computer hardware and software
• Establish and build relationships with key business stakeholders and internal and external customers
• Provide training and coaching to software users
• Provide an IT Support services to staff members by means of the “helpdesk” service
• Troubleshoot hardware, software and network operating system

ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS:

• National Diploma-IT A+ Certification N+ Certification

EXPERIENCE:

• 3 years- Related Work Experience
