    Receptionist and Office Manager

    The Role

    We are looking for an Office Manager to efficiently manage the day-to-day operations of the Electrum office space. As an Office Manager, you will be the first point of contact for all employees and visitors to the Electrum office - which would require excellent communication skills and a welcoming attitude. A typical day in this role would include planning and tracking office projects from start to finish, communicating with key stakeholders around the progress of the project, as well as placing orders for office necessities and maintaining the general upkeep of the office space.

    As an Office Manager, you will closely manage a team of 2 Office Coordinators to ensure that the office is being well maintained and running efficiently. Since you will be working closely with the People Operations team, this Office Manager role will provide you with the unique opportunity to get involved in initiatives that will improve employee engagement and wellness. This will set you up for a career in project management or human resources management.

    Your Responsibilities:

    • Receptionist duties
    • Greet and welcome guests
    • Ensuring that the office environment is presentable
    • Supervising office coordinators to maintain the cleanliness of the office environment
    • The organisation of company events
    • Vendor and supplier management
    • Managing office repairs and maintenance
    • Ordering office supplies and consumables
    • Adhering to the finance purchasing process
    • Preparation and formatting of proposals and other relevant documentation
    • Managing travel arrangements and accommodation bookings
    • Assisting People Operations with onboarding and events
    • Other ad hoc duties as may be required

    Requirements

    • Diploma or Degree in Office Administration/Business Admin or equivalent
    • At least 3-5 years experience in an office administration role
    • Ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office/Google Suite and macOS
    • Outgoing personality
    • Strong administrative skills and an eye for detail
    • Excellent communication and relationship management skills
    • Ability to take initiative and work independently
