Senior Professional Officer (2 Posts) Three-Year Contract at City of Cape Town

Requirements

• A relevant Bachelor Degree (preferably in Communication, Marketing, Public Relations or Media studies)
• Minimum of 5 years relevant experience at an appropriate level i.e. communication, stakeholder engagement, public relations, advocacy, marketing.
• Excellent writing, communication and engagement skills including the ability to turn technical Information into simple language content.
• Strong project management skills
• A valid Code B driver’s licence and own reliable vehicle for official use.
• Availability outside standard office hours to facilitate engagements

Key Performance Areas

• Plan, develop and implement communication and engagement initiatives in support of Public Transport Projects
• Manage communication and engagements with internal and external stakeholders, and affected communities to foster customer relations and enable service delivery
• Plan and implement marketing activation
• Promote various services, plans and strategies
• Implement interventions to change behavioural patterns
• Manage and maintain relationships with key stakeholders
• Develop content and coordinate the distribution of print and digital collateral.
