    WS 03/24 Debt Manager

    Requirements

    • A relevant Btech/First degree
    • 8 years relevant experience
    • A valid driver’s licence
    • Proficiency in all MS Office Applications

    Key Performance Areas

    • Manage, coordinate and control City Wide Debt Management for Water and Sanitation Service
    • Responsible for debt management projects
    • Analyse data into valuable information to inform decision-making
    • Review water debtors to ensure timeous collection of outstanding water debt, working with the relevant City business units
    • Manage the debt collection process to ensure continuous increase of collection ratios
    • Supervise the day-to-day operations of the Section within the depot and administrative environment
    • Drive system and process enhancements to ensure efficient use of all resources and continuous improved performance
    • Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation and City policies, manage accountability requirements and the system of delegations
    • Lead in coordinating and facilitating meetings with all internal and external stakeholders
    • Ensure that appropriate internal service level agreements within the Branch are established and monitor compliance.
    • Continuously review, identify and implement new business processes to ensure continuous improvements of the debt management functioning and contribution towards the sustainability of water and sanitation service

    WS 04/24 Project Manager

    Requirements

    • A BTech or Degree in Building, Civil, Chemical Engineering (not Mechanical or Electrical) and Project Management qualification
    • A minimum of 5 - 6 years’ post graduate experience in project management, construction of civil engineering and building projects, at an appropriate level.
    • Eligible for registration as a Professional Candidate Engineer/Technologist (advantageous)
    • Project management experience (major projects)
    • Computer Literacy – MS Applications, SAP, MS Projects, SAP Project Systems (PS) and SAP Project Portfolio Management (PPM)
    • A valid driver’s licence

    Key Performance Areas

    • Provide efficient and effective project management services across the Scientific Services Branch in the successful delivery of multi-disciplinary science related projects
    • Develop, manage, facilitate, coordinate, quality assure and implement a range of science related projects with various levels of risk and complexity
    • Develop frameworks to guide Scientific Services on the implementation of multiple projects
    • Implement the Capital Program for Scientific Services in line with agreed objective
    • Monitor and report on budgetary, performance, impact and risk related matters in relation to project plans, objectives, targets and indicators
    • Research, analyse and disseminate factual information to inform or support the decisions and direction of projects
    • Prepares capital and operating impact within a planned project and manages and controls expenditure against approved budget allocations

    Grant Compliance Administrator

    Requirements

    • Grade 12.
    • Up to 5 years’ experience with conditional grants, agreements, contracts and/ or compliance.
    • Excellent communication skills.
    • Computer literate.
    • The post preferably requires the incumbent to have some legal or regulatory background to support the analysis of contracts and agreements.

    Key Performance Areas

    • Provides support to the Head: Grant Compliance in respect of regulatory and legislative compliance matters, specifically relating to grant agreements.
    • Assists with administration and legal vetting of grant agreements.
    • Conducts compliance reviews of draft grant agreements/ contracts.
    • Administer all grant agreements/ contracts in a manner that complies with applicable legislation, regulations and policies.
    • Sourcing and administration of non-gazetted/ external grants.
    • Submits reports on status of grant agreements and supportive documentation.
    • Coordinates staff and administrative matters to ensure adherence to the relevant City of Cape Town policies

    Senior Professional Officer - Immovable Property Optimisation & Rationalisation

    Requirements

    • BTech or First Degree in a property management or related field.
    • 5 years’ or more relevant experience in a property management or related field.
    • Knowledge of local government municipal functions and related legislation and policies.
    • Good knowledge of property industry, understanding of property trends and property market.
    • Knowledge of the Corporate Governance Principles. Knowledge of Project Management Principles and practices

    Depot Manager

    Requirements

    • A Bachelor’s degree/Advanced Diploma/BTech in Civil Engineering
    • Up to eight (8) years’ appropriate experience in managing roads and stormwater operational activities and staff
    • Eligible for registration from an accredited ECSA institution
    • Computer literacy in SAP and Microsoft Office applications
    • Ability and willingness to work in all weather conditions
    • A valid driver’s licence
    • Physically fit.

    Key Performance Areas

    • Managing the operations, budget and staff of the Roads and Stormwater depot
    • Monitoring and implementing procedures
    • Establishing resource requirements of the depot
    • Planning and scheduling maintenance projects and programmes
    • Monitoring and evaluating the progress of maintenance works
    • Attending to administrative and reporting requirements
    • Ensuring depot compliance with legislative requirements, council policies and internal procedures.

    Senior Professional Officer (2 Posts) Three-Year Contract

    Requirements

    • A relevant Bachelor Degree (preferably in Communication, Marketing, Public Relations or Media studies)
    • Minimum of 5 years relevant experience at an appropriate level i.e. communication, stakeholder engagement, public relations, advocacy, marketing.
    • Excellent writing, communication and engagement skills including the ability to turn technical Information into simple language content.
