    About the role:

    The PwC Advisory Line of Service has an opportunity for a Graphic designer for a specific task of designing the look and feel and layout of web based applications including mobile applications.

    Skills Requirements:

    • The appointed incumbent will be responsible for doing actual design, layout and look and feel of all new applications including enhancements of existing applications. As such the following requirements need to be met:

    • Minimum 3 years working experience in Graphic Design and online publishing - with a portfolio demonstrating experience and skills

    • Tertiary Graphic Design qualification

    System / Business Analysts

    About the role:

    The PwC Advisory Line of Service has an opportunity for 3 experienced Systems / Business Analysts available for a minimum of a nine month contract, who will be required to supplement additional requirements for several projects as part of an application development and maintenance project focusing mostly on custom developed applications. The project includes all aspects of the software development lifecycle, i.e. analysis, design, build, test and implementation.

    The project will cover the following:

    • Review current system’s technical and functional design with a view incorporating new functionality and technical improvements based on the benefits of the new platform;

    • Compiling technical design documents and database design documents in accordance with required functionality reflected in the design documents;

    • Developing of new functionality as reflected in the design documents; Development is required to be carried out in accordance with the coding standards that will be shared with developers at the start of the project;

    • Modify existing functionality to ensure that it supports the required business processes;

    • Develop and/or modify system reports as per requirements; and

    • Conduct component, module and system testing to ensure that the developed functionality is in line with the requirements in the detailed design.

    Roles and Responsibilities

    • Take responsibility for a set of applications that support business processes of specific line functions;

    • Continuously assess the relevance and value-add of the respective system(s) and recommend new solutions where necessary;

    • Provide user support and respond to user calls or issues logged with the Helpdesk;

    • Investigate, fix, test and migrate system bugs’ fixes through the different environments;

    • Manage the migration of the system enhancements through the different environments that are used as part of the test plan; and

    • Liaising extensively with clients (external or internal);

    • Analysing existing systems and business models;

    • Mapping and documenting interfaces between legacy and new systems;

    • Understanding software development lifecycle;

    Minimum Requirements to be met:

    • Have qualification and experience in application development frameworks and methodologies

    • Have good documentation skills and ability to complete the following documentation: functional design, detailed design, database design, technical architecture design, test scripts and testing procedures and user training manuals;

    • Have experience in drawing business processes using tools such as Microsoft Visio;

    • Demonstrate a high level of proficiency in Microsoft technologies used for application development

    • Have a high level of proficiency in writing Microsoft SQL queries, including sub queries and cursors;

    • Demonstrate experience and familiarity with configuration management tools, design tools, debugging tools, and any other environment specific tools necessary to create, test, and implement an application;

    • Be able to engage in formal and informal knowledge transfer;

    • Be able to lead a team and manage project delivery;

    Responsibilities:    

    • Plan, budget and forecast at sub-LoS and Cost Centre level.
    • Provide support on opportunity pricing and budgeting.
    • Liaise with the CoE (Centre of Excellence) and/or In country finance lead on complex and cross border transactions such as withholding tax, exchange control, etc.
    • Provide commentary and analysis on LoS management and engagement reports e.g. Operating Statements, WIP (Work In Progress), Debtors, etc.
    • Act in the capacity as the liaison for billing and project setup, maintenance, provisions and adjustments for the assigned LoS (s)
    • Be the subject matter expert and consultant to the LoS on issues such as contract and project creation, WIP valuations and general NIC management
    • Update project budgets in Oracle
    • Oversee the local finance project support role to ensure procurement and region/cost centre specific financial administration is up to date.
    • Drive communication and collaboration between the Line of Service and the different finance teams
    • Report and analyse on project, contract, Partner, LoS, Cost centre and client levels

    • Develop an intermediate knowledge of the financial reporting systems, controls and processes that operate across business within the business at LoS and Cost Centre level.
