    Functional Analyst

    Job Objectives

    • Execute systems analysis of technical application requirements and participate in the planning and design process and fit-for-purpose specification documentation and solution assessment and validation of low to medium complexity solutions to business requirements and processes using appropriate tools.
    • Specify testing, training, definition, and implementation of standardised procedures for support of practical business solutions.  
    • Performing assigned gap analysis to determine and understand the functional business requirements and changes as defined by the Business Analysts, Product Owners and other stakeholders.
    • Identify problem areas, measure various areas of performance, propose changes and develop process improvement initiatives.

    • Estimate, schedule and prioritise discrete pieces of work and deliver consistent, quality, and accurate results on business-critical projects.
    • This includes accurate and justifiable effort estimations for completion of work, identifying business and functional dependencies to effectively prioritise and schedule delivery of assigned work packages and providing accurate and concise feedback to team leads, highlighting task status, issues and risks.
    • Assist with the preparation of test scripts and execute testing of the configured scenarios, in accordance with systems and unit test standards. Participate in execution and documentation of tests.
    • Provide input into training, testing and related procedures and processes to support delivery of the solution(s). 
    • Execute / perform QA handovers and assist test data and go-live support activities. Maintain test case repository.
    • Troubleshoot system related issues and channel transactional data. Track and report on systems/software defects.
    • Assist with and provide timeous feedback on ad-hoc queries from business stakeholders.
    • Gather user issues, analyse, prioritize and document using JIRA.
    • Provide input into the scope of a solution and ensure an understanding of the scope by relevant stakeholders. With support from Senior Functional Analyst present functional designs to functional areas on assigned projects to facilitate agreement and sign off from all concerned users and stakeholders on the suggested design and solution.
    • Execute solutions according to the requirements of the respective business area, ensuring the system reacts and operates within the confines of the request.
    • Support the deliverables throughout the system lifecycle and complete assigned deliverables for compliance according to agreed plan, supporting the delivery of projects in assigned area, while consistently reviewing and analysing accuracy and quality of own deliverables.
    • Maintains clear communication channels with project team on work status. Raises issues with manager as identified in area of focus that may affect the quality of delivery or timelines of the project.
    • Continuously support the business environment, through maintaining an understanding of initiatives and objectives, its various line portfolios, and the current trends and developments in the technology field. 
    • Work within the framework Agile methodologies and/or other agreed cross-functional team ways of working and help foster a culture of collaboration, commitment and continuous improvement.

    Qualifications

    Test Analyst II - Brackenfell

    Job Objectives
    Coordinate and execute Test case generation and review (medium to high complexity and scale):

    • Work alongside the Test Manager / Senior Test Analyst, and the Application specialist to identify what to test by translating functional and business requirement specifications into testable test plans and test cases.
    • Identify and document key test scenarios and cases of high complexity and scale.
    • Determine test prerequisites, test criteria, and record expected results.
    • Review final test cases with Test Lead / Test Manager and obtain sign-off. 

    Test prerequisites compilation:

    • Identify and obtain required test materials (test data), and the required test environment
    • Ensure test environment setup (i.e., test server access and test logins), and prepare test results pack for results recording and sign-off.
    • Review final test cases with Test Manager and obtain sign-off. 

    Test execution and recording: 

    • Follow the written test case/ specification & record test results. 
    • Compare actual results against expected results. 
    • Record pass/fail status of each test case. 
    • Report, record and assign defects identified.

    Maintenance of high quality and accuracy:

    • Understand the applications under test and ensure that it meets the necessary expectations as defined by business. 
    • Execute Quality Assurance of all relevant testing activities. 
    • Maintenance of test documentations to reflect current system operations. Identify opportunities for continuous improvement. Support Test Analysts I to ensure accurate test documentation.
    • Support improvement of testing process and initiatives.

    Ensure Test status updates:

    • Provide feedback to the development team and ensure the work is carried out in accordance with the schedule and the quality requirements. 
    • Inform Test Lead / Management of any negative trends in the quality of software in pre- and post-production. 
    • Provide estimates and feedback to the Test Lead for project scheduling purposes. 
    • Ensure effective communication with key stakeholders. 
    • Prepare input to and maintain test tracking report on more complex projects. 

    Test closure activities:

    • Ensure test completion on more complex projects - no outstanding high-risk issues, defect have been fixed and retested or deferred or accepted as permanent restrictions. 
    • Handover test artifacts to people who need it in the future, e.g., maintenance or support teams. 
    • Participate in more complex project retrospectives and contribute and document lessons learned. 
    • Archive test work products, like test results, test logs, test status reports etc.

    Qualifications

    • Degree or Diploma in Information Technology or a related field.  
    • Formal software testing training (e.g., ISEB, ISTQB CTFL). 
    • Advanced testing certified (e.g., ISTQB CTAL)

    Experience

    • +4 years’ experience as a Senior Test Analyst with demonstrable experience with manual testing, SQL experience and testing in an Agile environment.  
    • Strong knowledge of functional testing, system testing, integration testing, regression testing.  
    • Thorough knowledge of structured test methods and processes. 
    • Proven experience of testing complex user interfaces. 
    • Excellent understanding of testing concepts and the role of QA within Agile development methodology / Scrum management techniques.

    Configure and create technical components and services required to deliver within required business features and frameworks

    Facilities Manager - Gqeberha

    Job Objectives

    • To manage the facilities of the DC and to ensure compliance with the OSH Act. Responsible for the maintenance and repair of all facilities in the DC domain for the Campus as well as proactively managing ad-hoc projects related to Facilities Management
