    Sales & Operations Manager Southern Africa PDx

    Job Description Summary

    You will be responsible to manage the operational and administrative activities for the assigned for the Pharmaceutical Diagnostics (PDx) business in Southern Africa. You will be required to plan and develop processes to improve the operational quality and efficiency of the Pharmaceutical Diagnostics business and to supervise the commercial activities of the PDx products and the dealer/wholesaler in accordance with company’s policies and objectives.

    Roles and Responsibilities

    • Analyze and document business processes and problems.
    • Obtain and document business intelligence reports.
    • Develop processes to improve operational quality and efficiency.
    • Ensure coordination for sales target to be achieved.
    • Propose pricing to meet revenue and profitability targets.
    • Supervise dealers in accordance with company’s policies and objectives.
    • Work closely with support functions.
    • Schedule and conduct regular meetings with dealer and support functions.
    • Coordination of marketing activities in the country run through the GEHC processes and in agreement with EAGm Mk and GMO departments.
    • Develop close relationships with KOL customers.
    • Ensure productivity and quality goals are met.
    • Ensure full adherence of the dealer/distributor to 1GEHC compliance rules and local regulations.
    •  Propose actions and budget to ensure overall success.
    • Take the lead in the tender coordination process where GE participates directly, with the support functions.
    • Highlight market opportunities in the expansion markets
    • Ensure coordination with stakeholders toward the achievement of proper product deliveries, proof of deliveries (PoD) and cash collection (RevRec).
    • Fulfill all the administrative responsibilities for the South African subsidiary

    Required Qualifications

    • Solid experience in healthcare/pharmaceutical industry. With a strong sales mentality.
    • Masters/PhD in Pharmacy, Medicine or BioSciences
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Computer literate with expertise in MS Office.
    • Ability to influence indirect and cross-functional teams.
    • Willingness to travel and to work a flexible schedule.
    • Fluent in English

    LCT Manager - Southern Africa

    Job Description Summary

    The LCT Manager, Southern Africa LCT drives a coherent commercial strategy across the GE Healthcare business within the LCT and optimizes the use of commercial resources to drive market potential.

    The LCT Manager is responsible for implementing LCT go-to-market strategy as defined by the Zonal GM. The LCT Manager is responsible for leading all GE Healthcare account management activities in conjunction with Product Leaders & Specialists within the LCT to achieve the operating plan, via direct and indirect channels.

    Essential Responsibilities

    • Is accountable to achieve the quarterly and yearly Operating Plan for relevant GE Healthcare Portfolio in their geographical area
    • Is accountable for timely and accurate forecasting of pipeline per product and sales per the normal reporting cycles within Geographical Zone.
    • Provides input to and contributes to the formulation of the yearly business planning cycles
    • Execute Go-to-market strategy in conjunction with the relevant Modality leaders in order to cover the prioritized potential within the geography
    • Align territories to market potential and priorities and assign optimal account management and modality specialist sales resources in conjunction with the modality teams.
    • Develop & Implement growth strategies for the Private, Public & Regional business segments
    • Attract, retain, educate and develop world-class commercial talent to execute on LCT Go-to-market strategy.
    • Responsible for ensuring that all Account Managers and Account Executives have clear opportunity management activity and relationship building plans to ensure efficient coverage of decision makers and influencers through-out the total opportunity management cycle.
    • Drives performance management within the team, providing a regular operating mechanism of feedback, coaching and managing the annual appraisal system
    • Know Key Opinion Leaders in care areas; manage professional relations with key customers, academia government & administrative bodies in order to deepen understanding of customer challenges and needs. Nurture relationship with professional society stakeholders within geographical area.
    • Maintain up to date market and competitor knowledge related to the full GEHC product and services solutions and ensure that teams strengthen their knowledge on how to differentiate GE offering.
    • In cooperation with Product leadership and Marketing teams, drive One GE Healthcare marketing events in assigned MCT
    • Understand and lead development of financial offerings and solutions in collaboration with sales and project finance team within LCT based on customer needs
    • Ensure order booking quality and linearity improves for the zone, and ensure improved engagement/handshake between ITO & OTR takes place

    Qualifications/Requirements     

    • Bachelor’s degree.
    • 15+ years’ experience in Business Management, Sales, Marketing or equivalent years of experience in progressive leadership positions within the Healthcare industry with in-depth knowledge of healthcare market.
    • 5 years’ experience closing large, complex, strategic deals.
    • Minimum of 7 years in healthcare or equivalent industry.
    • Strong business acumen with ability to analyze financial needs accurately and establish budget effectively.
    • Proven leadership and ability to orchestrate resources and motivate teams. An inclusive leader who builds a connection to the workforce through personal involvement and trust.
    •   Proven ability to influence and drive change
    • Proven success in the South Africa Public Sector 
    • Exceptional presentation skills; able to present ideas and communicate to customers and team in a way that produces understanding and impact.
    • Understanding of customer/marketplace and drivers that influence customer behavior.
    • Ability to resolve complex issues within LCT.
    • Ability to develop and execute multiple priorities and approaches to meet objectives.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Master’s degree preferred.
    • Fluency in English language.
    • Strong sales and management experience with significant track record.
    • Must have valid authorization to work full time without any legal restrictions

    The Monitoring Solutions and PCS Digital product sales specialist is the product/solutions sales expert within the region, responsible to drive the sales growth of the Monitoring Solutions and PCS Digital Solutions by promoting transformative medical technologies and offers.

    Job Description

    Key Responsibilities/essential functions include (but are not limited to):

    • Articulate the clinical, technical (IT and service) and financial benefits of the transformative MONITORING SOLUTIONS and PCS Digital Solutions technologies.
    • Drive the sales of the MONITORING SOLUTIONS and PCS Digital Solutions portfolio to success, creating new sales opportunities, building the funnel, promoting the product benefits, values, and key differentiators within the target market in the region.
    • Conduct the full sales cycle of the MONITORING SOLUTIONS and PCS Digital Solutions portfolio in the customers, assuring the evaluation of the clinical and network needs and requirements as well as service and after market, designing the project in with the different stakeholders inside the Hospital
    • Promote the new offers and business models, elaborating the best scenario for each customer, able to articulate the pricing strategy and difference in the financial offers and contract agreements
    • Provide sales support with product/solution sales expertise to strategic deals and to local channel sales, being the “go to” person to support sales opportunities that may include the MONITORING SOLUTIONS and PCS Digital Solutions in the region
    • Engage / support the commercial campaigns and local events to build funnel
    • Analyze Order/sales, win/loss, ASP trends & competitive insight, providing crucial information to the Monitoring Solutions and PCS digital Modality Leaders to build action plan
    • Coordinate actions with the HQ marketing, service, pricing/finance, regional MONITORING SOLUTIONS and PCS digital leaders, global Product Managers to grow the franchise
    • Voice the regional product feedback from customers/field to the Emerging Markets HQ and regional leaders to ensure relevant short/long term product strategy

    Qualifications/Requirements

    • 6+ years’ experience in Clinical Solutions Sales/Service and IT/Product Management in the Healthcare Industry, ideally in patient monitoring and Healthcare IT, preferable background in biomedical engineering or nursing
    • Innovation – ability to develop, lead and execute on new ideas, sales strategy through collaboration to help build a true business franchise and promote transformational technologies
    • Good communication and presentation skills
    • Able to articulate clinical differentiators, understand and lead discussions and evaluations regarding IT and network infrastructure as well as planning the service, financial and contract agreements
    • Understanding of new financial and business models and how to engage / support customer to adopt
    • Ability to work efficiently in a matrix organization managing several stakeholders
    • Project/Customer Management experience, experience in SalesForce.com is desirable
    • Be autonomous, result oriented and ready to take responsibility for actions while being a good team player
    • Fluent in English
    • Frequent travel in the designated region would be required
    • Good computer skills
