    Head of Development Assets

    ERG Africa invites suitably qualified candidates to apply for the position of Head of Development Assets and M&A. The successful candidate will report to the Chief Executive Office and be based at our offices in Rosebank, Johannesburg. The successful candidate will be required to drive and support our work on maximization of the value of Non-Core Assets through assets development and further M&A, providing independent advice to the CEO of ERG Africa on related critical decisions, defending proposed strategies/ decisions at Group Management level

    Primary Purpose

    Implementation of a package of measures for ongoing M&A projects

    • He/She is responsible for the work unit entrusted by the Management for the implementation of the M&A projects, including cross-functional alignment and coordination, the organization of the Project Management Office for separate projects, development of the enterprise value maximization strategy (e.g. investments into asset development to maximize sale value, understanding greenfield project development cycles from Technical and mining regulations sides), performing/ coordinating vendor due diligence, organizing visits of investors to enterprises (the whole range of tasks from preparation presentations directly to logistics), participation in negotiations with key investors.

    Interaction with external contractors

    • Builds and develops relationships with external partners (financial advisers, asset valuation consultants, consulting and audit companies, etc.), coordinates their activities and is responsible for the quality of the work they have done before the management of the Company

    Project activities

    • He/She is responsible for the organization of work and coordination of the team in its functional area within the framework of complex projects of the Group along with other functional leaders.

    Management and staff development

    • Formulates and monitors key performance indicators for its subordinates; ensures the implementation of policies, regulations and communication of strategic priorities for the development of the Company’s business, agrees on appointments, ensures the creation of a productive working climate in a managed team and the development of skills, the effective use of human resources and building competencies, in order to create and maintain the necessary conditions

    Hands on oversight of non-core assets management/ development

    • Oversee the management of the non-core assets in relation to technical and support functions, manage planned asset development and maintenance activities, budget planning and execution

    Manage key stakeholders

    • Oversee projects progress and follow-up with initiatives/ tasks owners (Technical/legal/finance teams and other relevant stakeholders) and challenge the workplan/progress and implementation of the initiatives according to agreed schedule and budget

    Communicating to the Region and Group Management

    • Informing on key developments and searching for decision-making where appropriate

    Minimum Requirements  

    • Masters degree, preferably in Economics/Finance/Management/Project Management
    • Top-tier strategy consulting/ large scale project management (preferably in mining) / business planning. Experience in M&A  deals or Private Equity.
    • At least 5 years’ relevant experience 
    • At least 3 years’ management experience with at least 2 direct subordinates 

    Professional qualifications and skills necessary for the performance of duties

    • Extensive knowledge in the field of business, fairly deep understanding of the various functional blocks
    • Skills in investment analysis of projects and assets
    • Knowledge of best practices in project management (e/g/ (PMBOK or Prince2 certification) and detailed implementation planning skills
    • Technical knowledge in mining project development cycles and relevant regulation
    • Financial and investment appraisal capabilities across a variety of project and initiative types
    • Problem-solving skillset
    • New project development (concept to execution)
    • Performance management techniques including KPI development and adherence
    • Senior level communication skills at an Executive level
    • Conflict Resolution
    • Ability to network, maintain and manage relationships at a C-suite level

    Dynamics Systems Administrator

    ERG Africa invites suitably qualified candidates to apply for the position of Dynamics Systems Administrator. The successful candidate will report to the Applications Manager and be based at our offices in Rosebank, Johannesburg.

    Primary Purpose

    We are searching for a Dynamics D365 FO System Administrator to be an active source of support and technical knowledge of our Finance, Supply Chain and Maintenance ERP system. This is an internal facing role working with various IT staff in different regional locations and external support providers. The administrator must responsibly, and efficiently provide the necessary service and solutions associated with administering and maintaining the Dynamics 365 FO ERP system.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Provide level 3 support for the ERP support specialists in conjunction with the external support partner
    • Use ServiceNow request and response tracking tool
    • Apply approved configuration changes to the ERP system
    • Apply approved code changes to the ERP system, taking the development as delivered by the solution provider through the LCS framework, through the various non-production environments for testing and verification, and finally into the Production environment, subject to CAB approval.
    • Apply and maintain ERP Security roles and profiles according to established security policies and procedures
    • Maintain documentation of configurations and changes in configuration library
    • Monitor performance of Dynamics 365 platform and lead remedial action across resolver groups
    • Monitor integrations between Business and ERP system
    • Understand scheduling and priority items, and respond with appropriate action when integrations fail
    • Ensure master data consistency across associated systems
    • Identify issues, recognise risks and communicate to project, analysis and internal and external support teams
    • Define, design and run regular and ad-hoc reports/queries. Requirements for permanent reporting to be relayed to BI team
    • Use available tools to empower users to run established reports/queries themselves
    • Analyse business requirements for technical impact and feed back to architecture team to properly plan and account for
    • Analyse platform upgrades made available by Microsoft for functional enhancements, environment impacts, plan, rehearse and execute on platform upgrades with the assistance of external support provider
    • Work on continuous enhancement of ERP systems and processes as required by Solutions Architect and Analysis teams
    • Regularly interact with ISV vendors regarding implementation and/or issue of new releases or patches
    • Ability to work in a pressurised, distributed environment with many stakeholders and conflicting priorities
    • Sound experience with ERP systems, preferably Microsoft D365 or AX

    Experience and Qualifications:

    • B.Sc. / B.Com degree or related diploma
    • Certification or / and demonstrable experience in Visual Studio with C# coding language
    • TSQL
    • SSRS
    • TFS and Life Cycle Services experience
    • 3+ years of experience as a Dynamics AX system administrator with recent experience in Dynamics 365 administration

    Desirable

    • PowerBI
    • PowerApps
    • Microsoft Azure experience
    • Integration methods and standards (file based, web service, point to point etc)
    • Mining sector experience

    • Working knowledge of infrastructure components constituting the Dynamics environment, as well as external components that may impact it setting personal development goals & defining training needs; day-to-day line management;
