The QA Engineer will have the primary function of back-end API testing. Your duties will include, but not be limited to:
- Creating and employ world-class QA practices
- Applies analytical and problem solving skills to clarify user stories and determine appropriate testing scenarios and suites to validate the iterative development of products against functional and technical specifications
- Conducts functional, regression, validation, integration, performance testing for GUI, Batch and Backend processes
- Logs, tracks and verifies the resolution of defects
- Initial back end (API) testing
Qualifications
- Relevant Testing Certification
- BSc or National Diploma
- Matric
Experience and requirements
- 3 - 5 years of QA testing experience
Technical skills
- Knowledge of the Agile scrum methodology
- Website testing and API validation experience
- Ability to write good SQL queries
- Ability to work independently and create QA solutions
- Ability to test both manual and mobile applications
Mobile testing and/or development skills – advantageous
- Ability to write well-articulated test plans, test scripts
- Ability to clearly document defects and follows through on resolution
- Ability to rapidly build knowledge of application business area, application requirements
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
