    Corporate Credit Manager

    Job Description

    Main purpose of the job:

    The main purpose of the job is to manage the Credit  Management process for the Group, manage the Credit  Management team & Pre and Post Legal Accounts Department as well as the Group Debtor reporting.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Process owner of the credit management policies and procedures by maintaining them in line with best business practice and within the appropriate risk appetite of the Group.
    • Monitor and manage the Group’s credit granting process and procedures.
    • Assess, motivate and approve the Group’s large accounts in line with the delegated authorities as per the credit management policy.
    • Monitor and manage the Groups top 30 accounts.
    • Manage and ensure adherence to the Group’s Insurance (CGIC) policies and procedures
      • Manage the insurance policy and ensure applicable to the Group’s risk strategy
      • Motivate insured limits with the insurance company if required
      • Manage the claims for the Group
    • Manage the upkeep of the Group’s debtor master files.
    • Maintain a department organizational structure sufficient to meet all goals and objectives of the department.
    • Manage, motivate, train and up-skill staff to provide efficient and effective support to the Group and to meet their individual KPA’s.
    • Facilitate ongoing training and communicate any changes required to the credit management policies and procedures.
    • Manage, advise and support staff on credit strategy and developments in the market relating to their credit management functions.
    • Compile and manage monthly consolidated Group credit management reports and statistics required by the Board, CFO and Operations.
    • Highlight and manage areas of non-compliance to credit management policies and procedures  
    • Analyze and highlight areas of concern and risk with Divisional Financial Managers and Divisional Credit
    • Managers for corrective action
    • Monitor and maintain the integrity of the Group’s debtor master files on the ERP system.
    • Drive Group reporting efficiencies through systems development.
    • Manage all pre and post legal debtor matters for the Group to minimize risk and maximize recoveries.
    • Ensure all handed over matters are managed according to the policies and procedures
    • Review all relevant documentation pertaining to a handed over matter ensuring complete prior to assigning to an Attorney.
    • Liaise with Attorneys and/or Debt Collectors and manage their service levels and performance on handed over matters.

    REQUIREMENTS / QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE:

    • Must have a proven track record of at least five years in a senior Credit Management position.
    • Qualification in Credit management / Financial qualification / Legal qualification 
    • Healthy Knowledge of Credit Insurance.
    • Ability to understand legal terms and conditions of contracts and the interpretation thereof.
    • Experience in the Construction/Building Industry will be advantageous
    • Excellent knowledge of debt collecting procedures and laws and regulations governing debtor management (NCA, CPA etc.)
    • Thorough understanding of the National Credit Act
    • Advanced Excel experience and a healthy knowledge and experience of computerised systems.

    Application Support Consultant

    Job Description

    Position Reference Number: REQ01025

    The main purpose of the job:
    The purpose of the Application Support Consultant is to assist the Business Systems  Department  to  support  and  manage  the  ERP  system,  providing  first  line  support  and  issue resolution to system users.

    The main functional responsibilities are:

    • Provide first line application support for the group’s ERP systems.
    • Perform scheduled daily, weekly and monthly support tasks.
    • Ensure all calls are logged correctly (with all details) and regularly updated.
    • Take ownership and manage problem resolution to completion within an acceptable customer service level.
    • Investigate  problems  thoroughly  and  methodically,  ensuring  all  options  exhausted  and  all  facts  are documented.
    • Thoroughly  test  all  resolutions  before  implementation  to  ensure resolution  is  correct  and  no  other repercussions are found.
    • Provide assistance and feedback to users on issues logged.
    • Escalate all critical issues timeously.
    • Assist with identification of trends and spike to proactively resolve issue before they arise.

    Minimum Requirements:

    • Grade 12 - required
    • IT related qualification – desirable
    • At least 3 years application support experience
    • At least 2 years technical application exposure (databases, report writing), worked on an ERP system
