    Negotiator:Recoveries


    Job description

    Detailed Description

    • Answer telephone and email queries from the brokers, based on updated logs
    • Update e-log notes
    • Prepare payments file on successful recovery
    • Finalise claim as per RECOVERIES standard – Update log – Update broker – Finalise on BPM and financial system
    • Collaborate and work closely together with others thereby leveraging constructive team dynamics and innovation
    • Be aware of capacity building initiatives (i.e. development programmes, training, mentorship, coaching etc.)
    • Align own behaviour with the organisation culture and values
    • Achieve own performance objectives
    • Actively participate in own professional development and career path.
    • Proactively ensure use of time, of resources, money, materials or equipment is in line with policies and procedures
    • Provide customer services in line with quality and performance standards
    • Build positive customer relations and solve or escalate customer queries and complaints
    • Gather feedback on customer satisfaction and report to the relevant party

    Job Requirements

    • Matric
    • Appropriate Insurance Qualification
    • 3 years’ relevant Short Term Insurance Motor Recovery Claims experience

    Minimum period required to perform productivity in this job: 1 Month

    Job description

    Detailed Description

    • Provide and/or facilitate delivery of legal advice, guidance and support to enable the business to achieve its business imperatives.
    • Manage the delivery of litigation support to the
    • business and manage legal costs by being proactive in legal matters.
    • Research and remain up to date with all legislative developments and advise business on aligning changes to business imperatives.
    • Implement the Company’s legal risk management strategy for identifying and managing legal risks within the business.
    • Demonstrate an understanding of the statutory and regulatory environment of the short term insurance industry.
    • Ensure that contractual documentation and other legal documents are drafted, standardised, reviewed, interpreted and vetted.
    • Represent the business interests by interfacing with and negotiating contracts and agreements with third parties, including financial institutions, clients, vendors and business partners as required.
    • Undertake other duties and special projects as requested.
    • Provide progress reports as requested.
    • Manage an effective diary system
    • Maintain service, quality and desired outputs within a specific functional process through ensuring compliance to tactical policies, procedures and standards.
    • Resolve escalated queries and complaints and provide feedbackon matters resolved.
    • Develop work routines in line with operational plans / schedules in order to manage achievement of service delivery goals.
    • Share knowledge on, and participate in the creation of new standards, control systems and procedures to maintain service delivery.
    • Develop and encourage strong team work

    Job Requirements

    • LLB or equivalent plus articles
    • Admitted as attorney or advocate
    • 5 years post-qualification experience in insurance (either in practice or in the industry)

    • Handling medium to high value or complexity litigation matters
    • Manage the delivery of litigation support to business and manage legal costs by being proactive in legal matters
    • Providing legal advice, guidance and support to enable business to achieve its business objectives
    • Researching and remain up to date with legislative developments and advise business on aligning to changes
    • Drafting/vetting medium to high complexity legal agreements
    • Representing business interfacing with and negotiating contracts with third parties
    • Assisting in projects to ensure legal compliance

    • Individually accountable for managing own time, tasks and output quality for periods up to 18 months
