    Partner Account Manager - New Business

    The Red Hat Sales team is looking for a Partner Account Manager to join us in Johannesburg, South Africa. In this role, you will oversee sales activities across our solutions portfolio for this region. With IBM and Red Hat joining forces, our market potential to end customers has multiplied. In this role, you will be working with our partners to convert Red Hat leads in IBM's accounts into Red Hat business. Together with a dedicated team of solutions architects and inside sales associates, you'll enable Red Hat’s partners to build long-lasting relationships with these new accounts and expand our business in these accounts. You'll lead by example, serving as a multiplier for our partners, as they develop new end customer relationships. By doing so, you will manage and develop strategic relationships with our partners to guide sustainable long-term growth and accelerate the adoption of our innovative solutions. As a sales-focused Partner Account Manager, you will also develop, implement, and manage joint business plans that help increase revenue and capitalize on Red Hat’s technologies.

    Primary Job Responsibilities

    • Define Red Hat value propositions with leading solutions providers to win in long-term and short-term opportunities
    • Promote sales, focusing on joint solutions and opportunities and on creating and guiding these partner sales initiatives
    • Be present in customer meetings, leading from the front and actively enabling partners in positioning Red Hat’s solutions in new Red Hat accounts with a focus on closing deals generated through IBM leads
    • Manage forecasts on a quarterly basis and stimulate additional revenue growth through strategic partners
    • Work with partners during joint customer visits to demonstrate how Red Hat’s solutions and technologies can be integrated in their offerings to deliver a higher ROI
    • Promote executive engagement on an ongoing basis to ensure key strategies for increasing Red Hat's presence in partner customer accounts
    • Build jointly-agreed-to business plans with the partners and ensure implementation of business plans based on defined metrics
    • Collaborate with other verticals to help promote their business objectives through the partner ecosystem

    Required Skills

    • 5+ years of sales experience working with partners and distributors
    • Experience building strategic relationships and developing the business with partners
    • Proven ability to significantly increase revenue and a record of managing organizations that deliver targeted sales and market share numbers
    • Exceptional written and verbal communication, presentation, and follow-up skills
    • Willingness to travel
    • Highly motivated with the ability to work as part of a team
    • Ability to translate partner business needs into joint solutions and manage these initiatives
    • Ability to perform under pressure and adapt to an ever-changing work environment

    Key Account Manager

    The Red Hat Sales team is looking for an experienced enterprise sales professional to join us as a Key Account Manager in Johannesburg, South Africa. In this role, you will handle relationships with our key accounts, helping our customers and partners make business and IT transformations through our services and solutions. You will be responsible for building new commercial relationships, as well as expanding and improving the business we do with existing customers. You'll also gain an understanding of customer processes, needs, and issues and articulate the value of Red Hat’s solutions and how they address customer needs.

    Primary Job Responsibilities

    • Communicate Red Hat's values and visions to the executive and management levels of customer organizations
    • Successfully sell solutions and services in the field, specifically in the financial services industry (FSI) vertical
    • Develop new accounts and expand existing accounts in South Africa
    • Represent Red Hat to the customers and customers to Red Hat in sales-related matters
    • Meet assigned sales quotas
    • Work to develop and expand a fixed set of named accounts
    • Guide a virtual sales team consisting of solutions architects, insides sales representatives, consultants, engagement managers, and Red Hat’s senior management

    Required Skills

    • Excellent record in software and services solutions sales in South Africa
    • Proven experience selling complex solutions to large organizations and multiple decision makers
    • Ability to work as part of a team while demonstrating flexibility, ability to work on your own, and initiative
    • Solid understanding of companies and opportunities that exist in the region
    • Good communication and technical skills that allow you to develop relationships at commercial and executive levels throughout organizations
    • Willingness to travel across the region

    Telco Key Account Manager

    The Red Hat Sales team is looking for a Telco Key Account Manager to join us in Johannesburg, South Africa. In this role, you will join our global telco vertical to build new commercial relationships and expand existing business within the region. You'll manage high levels of coordination and collaboration with other members of the account teams within Red Hat's telco vertical.

    Primary Job Responsibilities

    • Sell Red Hat's solutions and meet assigned sales quotas while supporting customer satisfaction and success
    • Develop new lines of business and expand existing business with special emphasis on developing Vodacom Group, Telkom, and MTN South Africa with new technologies and services
    • Represent Red Hat to customers in sales-related matters

    Required Skills

    • 8+ years of experience selling software solutions to the telco industry vertical; understanding of the telco opportunities that exist within this market segment
    • Experience and a network in the infrastructure market of the IT industry including technologies like operating systems, middleware, virtualization, cloud, and system management
    • Solid understanding of market dynamics including customer needs, processes, offerings, and competition
    • Excellent communication and technical skills for developing relationships at engineering, commercial, and executive levels throughout various organizations within the region
    • Record of selling complex solutions to large organizations and multiple decision-makers
    • Ability to demonstrate creativity and innovative thinking
    • Solid organizational, negotiation, presentation, and time management skills
    • High level of initiative and motivation with demonstrated ability to work on your own while maintaining team role
    • Reliable, committed, and organized with the ability to handle change easily
    • Attention to detail and solid analytical skills
    • Fluent communication skills in English
