    Business Analyst (Data)

    JOB DESCRIPTION

    • Facilitating discovery of business data requirements, and through a structured process, modeling, validating and translating them into refined user stories and acceptance criteria.
    • Collaborating in the development of agile feature specifications which are used by developers to craft a technical solution meeting the business requirement
    • Maintaining data and process models in the SPARX Enterprise Architect tool, and using these models in SOPs.
    • Using SQL to access data sets and determine patterns and data quality issues to stage automated and manual remediation exercises.

    Key Outputs

    • Work on solutions supporting the Outsourced Business with emphasis on Broker integration points and a large number of affected systems
    • Gather and interpret functional and non-functional requirements from the business and compile requirement specifications
    • Analyse data requirements and translate these into data models, definitions and rules
    • Define and maintain data mappings and transformations
    • Participate in the solution design process to ensure that the functional, non-functional and data requirements are addressed in the solution design
    • Define the success criteria for solution testing
    • Assist with systems testing and training

    QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

    • Relevant business qualification including some financial studies or appropriate workplace experience
    • Relevant qualification or certificate/diploma in Business Analysis from industry recognised training institution
    • 5 - 8 years’ experience as Business Analyst
    • Experience with data oriented solutions and SQL.

    The following experiences would be an advantage:

    1. financial systems analysis    
    2. Enterprise Architect for data and process modeling
    3. BI tools like Qlik
    4. 2 - 3 years’ experience in the Short Term Insurance Industry
    5. Experience in Model-Driven Design & Repository-Based Modelling tools

    Broker Liaison Officer

    What will you do?
    JOB DESCRIPTION

    • To manage broker relations in all spheres of business, with specific reference to functions performed by the JHB legal and Outsourced Business branches. To ensure that excellent service is rendered to everyone who deals with either of the branches. Role expectations: 
    • Dual reporting line to Branch Manager : JHB Legal and Branch Manager : Outsourced Business Branch
    • Understanding the calibre of brokers that are serviced by the JHB legal and Outsourced Business branch ( i.e. their loss ratios, volume of claims, clients profile, contribution to business, challenges or limitations and aspirations)

    Claims Service Consultant

    The Claims Handler is responsible for coordinating and overseeing, managing, negotiation and settlement of the claim and is accountable for the finalisation of the claim end-to-end. This position entails ensuring client satisfaction and general administrative duties.

    What will make you successful in this role?

    • Providing advice on lodging a claim and the processes involved.
    • Processing new insurance claims notifications.
    • Collecting accurate information and documents to proceed with a claim.

    Automation Test Analyst (Hybrid:JHB/CT)

    What will you do?

    Santam Digital has a career opportunity available for an Automation Test Analyst who will preferably be based in Cape Town.

    What will make you successful in this role?

    • Lead and provide guidance to a team of automation test analysts in the Santam Digital environment and liaise with contracted test service supplier(s) to ensure effective prioritization, planning and delivery of test results and reporting
    • Create and self-execute automated test scenarios, scripts and regression test packs and monitor execution by team 
    • Test automation frameworks: Ensure alignment with existing frameworks, ensure use and implementation thereof, and provide input to ensure continuous improvement
    • Ensure alignment of Automation Test Scripts with Acceptance Criteria on User Stories by being involved in technical discussions with project team throughout software development life cycle to pro-actively identify obstacles concerning quality

    Qualifications and Experience

    • Testing certification (i.e. ISTQB – Automation Test Analyst or similar) 
    • Minimum 5 years relevant experience in automation testing that includes the following:
    • Experience in software testing methodologies, frameworks, test planning, test cases development, execution, quality assessment of test cases 
    • Experice in working with a team consisting of functional, automation and performance testing expertise 
    • Experience with using the following tools: Jira, Bamboo, IntelliJ – Java, Appium, Postman, Bitbucket, Allure, XCUITEST, Maven, TestNG, Selenium, SQL and database query tools, MS office
    • Experience in working in agile (scrum) methodology
    • Experience with working in project environments for large organisations, including working on multiple projects simultaneously and balancing delivery aspects across projects

    • Experience in the financial or short-term insurance industry advantageous

    Java Developer (Intermediate)
