    Support Consultant

    Description

    You will join our dynamic Vista Africa team based in Woodstock, Cape Town where you will get involved in programming, installation and configuration of software, business analysis, problem solving customer liaison, training and international travel.

    The role is fast paced and exciting. You will be working within a small team and dealing with senior stakeholders at major cinema chains across Africa.

    Installation and Training of Vista Software

    • Installation and configuration of the Vista system on sites within Africa

    • Training cinema, head office and IT staff

    • Windows / network / hardware configuration

    Customer Support

    • Software problem solving

    • Using SQL statements to assist

    • Interpreting error logs

    • Recording support calls into our issue tracking system

    • Adjusting conversation for all levels of users

    • Carrying a mobile phone to answer urgent after hours support calls on a roster basis

    Other

    • Testing software prior to live.

    • Assist in documenting practices.

    THE CANDIDATE

    You will need

    • A University degree in an IT / Computer / Engineering related field (with excellent grades)

    • Relevant, demonstrable experience in the industry.

    • Experience with databases and SQL queries

    • Knowledge of software development concepts

    • Some technical experience with advanced aspects of windows – DHCP, DNS, IIS, AD, network configuration

    Intermediate QA

    Description
    You will be joining our Digital Team with the remit of testing Vista’s Digital products (large scale ecommerce enterprise level web and mobile builds) for Cinema Exhibitors across the globe. The role will give you the opportunity to define and implement QA processes specific to the Digital space and, working alongside our teams throughout the world, drive exceptional projects in an exciting and challenging industry.

    • You will work with predominantly agile delivery methodologies using your creative, quality expertise that will ensure product owner`s visions meet expectations.
    • You will also be expected to play a key role in designing and implementing an automated testing strategy integrated with our digital CI/CD pipeline.
    • Your role will also include oversight of the QA process in our Integrations Development team, mentoring and developing existing resources and identifying opportunities to improve process and outcomes.

    Responsibilities:

    •  Work with Product Owners to define acceptance criteria and produce test plans
    •  Review acceptance criteria with Product Owners, developers and interact with Project Managers
    •  Provide updates on testing progress or other activities to key stakeholders
    •  Analyse and investigate issues found in testing and work to resolve these with the relevant people
    •  Work with our devops experts to develop an automated testing strategy across our digital offerings.
    •  Drive and develop QA process within the Digital Team, and the wider EMEA team.
    •  Provide mentoring and guidance to junior members of the QA team

    Requirements

    •  3-4 years relevant industry experience
    •  Tertiary qualification preferred
    •  Ability and passion to explore scenarios, think outside the box, and be meticulous.
    •  Confident, positive personality and excellent interpersonal skills.
    •  Experience with Agile software development, particularly with a focus in Quality Assurance.
    •  Experience with virtualization and automated deployments, such as VMWare, VSphere, Docker, Vagrant.
    •  Experience with test automation, particularly Specflow (Gherkin, Cucumber) or other automation frameworks.
    •  Knowledge of a defect tracking system/test management systems.
    •  Intermediate knowledge of SQL Server and T-SQL coding would be an advantage.

    Engineering Manager

Our headquarters are based in New Zealand with offices in London, Amsterdam, Los Angeles, Beijing, Shanghai, Mexico City, Kuala Lumpur and Cape Town. You will get the opportunity to work on award-winning projects leading a team of back-end, front-end and full stack developers in building best-in-class cinema websites worldwide.     As an Engineering Manager, you’ll be a trustworthy and proactive team leader with many years of engineering experience. You’ll be capable of problem solving, working on several projects at the same time, while growing and managing diverse teams of engineers from different disciplines across London, Romania and South Africa. You’ll be managing releases, deployments, a team of engineers and a QA. You’ll also be formulating and executing new team and technical processes and strategies while coordinating with members of Senior management. You’ll have experience with modern software development practices and be able to bring your own skills and perspectives to the table via whiteboarding sessions, peer programming and code reviews. You are someone who takes ownership, can time-manage and laughs at the sight of a challenge. Projects involve an understanding of the cinema industry, so while experience in industry is nice, don’t worry because you’ll be provided with excellent training and onboarding to get you up to speed as soon as possible.

    DevOps Engineer

    Description

    What will you do?

     

    Cloud Engineering

    • Develop and deploy tools and automation to replace manual tasks and improve efficiencies.

    • Define and roll out cloud infrastructure and tooling solutions using off-the-shelf and inhouse components and services and communicate decisions with key stakeholders.

    • Create, communicate and apply implementation guidance based on best practices to the organization.

    Mid-level to Senior Full Stack Developer
