    General Accounts Clerk

    Skills & requirements:
    General Accounts Clerk Six Months Fixed Term Contract

    • Woodridge College & Preparatory School is an ISASA registered, co-education Christian based school situated on a magnificent 365-acre multi-adventure eco-estate between Gqeberha and Jeffreys Bay in the Eastern Cape.

    • A relevant accounting qualification would be advantageous;
    • Three yearsn related experience is essential, preferably gained in a similar environment;
    • Working knowledge of various computersoftware programmes, in particular MS Office (Excel,Word, Outlook);
    • Ability to identify and resolve problems efficiently;
    • Exceptional administration skills;
    • Good timekeeping and attention to detail;
    • Have the ability to work accurately in a pressurised environment;
    • Hard-working,reliable, honest, enthusiastic and energetic;
    • Good communication skills and the ability to deal with suppliers and customersin a firm but polite and professional manner;
    • Team player and the ability to work independently when required;
    • Ability to promote and embrace diversity and inclusion;
    • Requisite clearance certificates.

    Duties and Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

    Custodian of Cash:

    • Receipting cash from the School’sshops;
    • Making cash payments;
    • Banking.

    Point-of-Sale:

    • Performing reconciliationsforshop cash-ups.

    Debtors:

    • Following-up on overdue accounts;
    • Processing miscellaneousinvoices;
    • Collating information for billing;
    • Collating information for account hand-overs.

    Creditors:

    • Controlling of all bank cards;supplier and sundry payments.

    Cashbook:

    • Assisting Debtors Clerk and Creditors Clerk with cashbook entries.

    Audit:

    • Collating audit information.
    • Controlling of Tour Budgets:
    • Ensuring all festival and tour budgets are received, billing and payment paperwork is matched to the relevant budget, and isreceived by Debtors & Creditors.

    General Administration:

    • Filing and any otherrelated tasksthat may arise.

    Music Teacher

    Skills & requirements:

    • A relevant professional teaching qualification from a recognised
    • institution (university degree and professional qualification) is essential;
    • Competence as a pianist and qualified to teach piano (Beginner to Grade 5 level) is essential;
    • Experience gained as an accompanist (Junior and Senior Choirs) is essential;
    • Ability to teach woodwind instruments, flute and recorder would be highly advantageous;
    • Previous experience gained in teaching class music (Grade 1-7);
    • Qualified to teach external music and music theory examination syllabi;
    • Experience with musical groups/ bands(such as marimba/ djembe) and teaching otherinstruments advantageous, not essential;
    • An open and creative outlook to education and keeping up with the latest trendsin education;
    • Drive and passion for assisting children to develop a passion for music;
    • Computerliterate and the ability to use technology to enhance the learning experience;
    • Self-motivated team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills;
    • Good organisational, time management and administration skills;
    • Ability to promote and embrace diversity and inclusion;
    • SACE registered with the requisite clearance certificates.

    • Teaching music (Grade1-7) according to the educational
    • needs and abilities of the individual and groups;
    • Providing piano and woodwind lessonsforindividual learners;
    • Accompanying the Junior and Senior Choir;
    • Assisting with organising music events and allschool functions which require musical items;
    • Ensuring a disciplined classroom environment;
    • Keeping abreast of developments and latest trendsin teaching music;
    • Incorporating thinking skillsin orderto foster independent, critical and creative thinkers;
    • Incorporating the ethos and values of the School into all aspects of education;
    • Contributing fully to the life and extracurricular activities of the School, including pastoral care, outdoor education and otherschool events/functions;
