    Operations Supervisor - George DC

    Purpose Of The Position

    The effective management of all activities in the Secondary Operations relating to Customer Deliveries and the completion of all reasonable tasks to ensure the operational efficiency of Distell Ltd. Designated stand-in for Ops Manager and / or Logistics Manager (dependant on size of DC). To assist and support Distell’s endeavoured to become more responsive to our competitors, customers and consumers (CCC).

    Key Performance Areas would include, but are not limited to:

    • Ensure cost effective warehousing and distribution of company products
    • Ensure the effective functioning of the following departments, namely: Optimal Transport Management, Customer Deliveries, and Outsource Services
    • Engaging Transport suppliers to maintain optimal fleet uptime to deliver on customer service commitments
    • Oversee the Warehouse to ensure stock availability and quality
    • Minimise overtime and temporary employee usage
    • Maintain a high level of customer service
    • Manage performance of contractors according to the agreed SLA
    • Assist in development of Business plans in line with relevant guidelines
    • Effectively handle customer complaints and ensure corrective action taken
    • Ensure strict adherence to Corporate Governance
    • Evaluate and maintain loss control procedures on an on-going basis
    • Ensure routine Quality Control inspections in Secondary Operations
    • Understanding, implementation and adherence to Internal Control Measures such as: ICC’s, ISO requirements, Owner Driver Audits, and Operations Excellence
    • Perform administration/reporting effectively
    • Improving business processes to ensure achievements of Business Objectives

    The successful candidate must have the following qualification, skills and experience:

    • A relevant tertiary qualification
    • Up To 6 Months MINIMUM TOTAL years of RELEVANT experience in FMCG Logistics / Distribution Environment
    • Proficient in MS Office,
    • SAP, Strato, Qlikview, Success Factors experience beneficial
    • The ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
    • Excellent communication skills (both written and oral) and sound presentation skills
    • The ability to work after hours and / or shifts if necessary
    • Knowledge of all relevant legislation
    • Knowledge of customer service principles and practice
    • Experience in a customer service environment is essential

    Health Risk & Environment Manager - Springs

    Role Purpose

    Applications are invited to apply for the above mentioned position to be based in Springs, Supply Chain. The successful applicant will report to the Springs GM.

    Key Performance Areas would include, but are not limited to:

    • Ensuring DC’s comply with OHSACT and Risk Control Requirements
    • Ensure adherence to the Risk Control / Policies, Procedures and implementation of Audit recommendations
    • Perform Risk Control and Safety Training needs analyses and co-ordinate appropriate training
    • Train people on relevant Risk issues
    • Chair Regional Risk Management and Accident committee meetings
    • Perform Administrative functions
    • Must be able to compile and manage a regional risk/maintenance budget

    The Successful Candidate Must Have The Following Experience/skills

    • Matric
    • Diploma / Degree in Risk Management will be an added advantage
    • A minimum of 5 years in a relevant environment
    • Excellent organising abilities

    • Must be willing to travel extensively within the region

    Operations Co-ordinator - Kimberley DC

    Purpose Of The Position

    Effectively handle the administration and financial function, within the Secondary Operations and the completion of all reasonable tasks to ensure the operational efficiency of the Secondary Operations, and to assist and support Distell’s endeavoured to create superior customer service.

    Key Performance Areas would include, but are not limited to:

    • Effectively manage the daily administration function within the Distribution Centre.
    • Involvement in preparation of budgets and forecasts, including monthly co-ordination of opex spends and variance analysis
    • Perform distribution centre capex and abnormal maintenance function
    • Effectively co-ordinate the monthly internal audit function for the Distribution Centre
    • Effective administer Customs and Excise Accounts (Where applicable)
    • Checking of monthly stock take sheets.
    • Data capturing of monthly stock take figures
    • Improving business processes to ensure achievements of Business Objectives

    The successful candidate must have the following qualification, skills and experience:

    • A relevant tertiary qualification
    • 6 Months minimum relevant experience in FMCG Logistics / Distribution Environment
    • Computer literacy in MS Office, SAP, Success Factors
    • Experience meeting tight deadlines
    • Excellent communication skills (both written and oral) and sound presentation skills
    • The ability to work after hours and / or shifts if necessary
