    Role Purpose
    The main purpose of the role is to coordinate and assist in delivering the CVM commercial strategy, as well as to assist in managing and tracking delivery against the commercial and capability roadmaps.

    Your responsibilities will include:
    Generation of commercially positive ideas that will impact customers and change customer buying behavior, personalized offers per customer segment/cohort to drive engagement & increase revenue, active days per Region 

    • Design, brief, maintain, and report on below the line campaign activities to promote upgrades, up-sell & cross-sell and reduce churn using Vodacom Brand CI & tonality guidelines
    • Design, brief, maintain, and report on customer life-cycle journeys and campaigns using Vodacom Brand CI & tonality guidelines

    Product Manager: Fixed

    Role Purpose

    • The Product Manager: Fixed role based within Vodacom Business.
    • The purpose of the role is to develop and manage the overall products and solution sets, product pricing, commercialise new products, product development and product management within the product innovation department of Fixed & Mobile. 

    Your responsibilities will include:

    Chapter Lead: CVM Insights & Quantitative Analytics

    Role Purpose

    • As the chapter lead for CVM insights and analytics you should be experienced with and passionate about using data to drive strategy, product and campaign recommendations. You are able to both engage with senior leaders to design well-constructed analyses and work cross-functionally with analysts, product managers and the operations team to effectively deliver actionable results.You should be able to communicate as effectively in delivering complex data-driven findings with commercial managers as you are in discussing and implementing machine-learning specifications to maximise customer lifetime value within the prepaid space.

    The ideal candidate for this role will have:

    Specialist - Record to Report (RTR)

    Role Purpose:

    The Specialist: Record to Report RTR role is available within the Financial Operations business unit.

    Your responsibilities will include:

    Key accountabilities and decision ownership:

    Financial month-end process Bad Debts and Debtors including:

    • Bad Debt Write Off Processes
    • Accounting entries
    • Calculation of ECL provision in line with IFRS9

    The Senior Data Scientist role based within Big Data.

    Role purpose: 

    • Co-creating Advanced Analytics products that provide actionable business insight to Vodafone and its stakeholders.

    Project Manager

    Role Purpose:

    Principal Specialist: Pricing & Analytics

    Role Purpose
    The Principal Specialist: Pricing, Analytics & Value Management role based within Vodacom Business.

    • The core purpose of the role is to support the Pricing, Analytics & Value Management team in providing the Vodacom Business Unit (VB) with pricing and analytical requirements on the fixed & mobile portfolio, Cloud Hosting Portfolio and IoT Portfolios to enable effective and efficient decisions to be made with appropriate price points taken to market. 
    • The individual will be expected to interact with various stakeholders predominantly across the Vodacom Business Unit together with the EHOD: Pricing, Analytics & Value Management and the VB Commercial Team in order to manage risk, pricing and ensure on-going product performance and product profitability analysis. The team function is strategic in nature as it controls long-term pricing, profitability, product management and planning on overall VB business requirements as well as alignment of pricing functions across VSA. This role will support that function.

    Your responsibilities will include:

    • Provide pricing analysis for certain products within VB Fixed, Mobile, Cloud Hosting and IoT segments. This will be done within pricing frameworks, governance, strategy and regulatory requirements.
    • Provide profit margin analysis, breaking down products into various components of income, direct expenses, distribution costs, overheads and management costs. This will include recommendations on optimisation across single products and multi product propositions to enhance profitability.
    • Determine and review price elasticity for identified products and services.
    • Detailed data analysis to be performed to provide business with the intelligence in order to enhance decision-making as well as to serve as input into financial models and business cases. This includes assisting with key customer insights, modelling purchasing behaviour and elasticity for overall impact analysis on commercial and revenue metrics resultant from price adjustments or introduction of new products/services.
    • Support with ongoing tracking, reporting and insights on monthly behaviours of customers , products and campaigns 
    • Working closely with the Stakeholders Product EHODS  on relevant strategic initiatives and drivers for future growth 
    • Work closely with VB FBP to provide accurate data and financial models for A&R investment, IBRO revenue and support decision making processes for commercial initiatives


    Communication 

    • Written material must be of the highest quality with clear insights and actions for EHOD management
    • Communicate and conduct presentations effectively

    Principal Specialist: Technology Arch.

    Role Purpose:

    • The Vodacom Group Technology Architecture team is responsible for end-to-end architecture design & governance across all Technology Domains, including Network, IT, Fintech & Enterprise, for Vodacom Group and all markets.

    • To be able to communicate at all levels within the organization through documented outputs tailored to the specific project/initiative, engagement, audience and desired outcome. This could include written documents, presentations, memos, meetings, workshops, etc.
    • To lead and mentor Technology Architecture specialist and senior specialist architectures in requesting and providing peer review and guidance on initiatives and deliverables.
    • To compile reporting information to be presented to all levels of management with specific focus on executive and director level reporting.

    The ideal candidate for this role will have:

    • Matric/Grade 12 (or SAQA Accredited equivalent) is essential 
    • A relevant 3 year Degree / National Diploma in Electrical Engineering/Information Systems (or SAQA Accredited equivalent) is essential
    • A relevant Honours, Masters or Doctorate degree is highly desirable 
    • A minimum of 8 years total experience in the Telecommunications or the wider ICT Industry is essential. 4 years of the above 8 years’ experience should ideally be in Architecture, Systems Planning or Systems Design.

    In depth knowledge/experience in at least four of the following domains: 

    • Mobile, Wireless & Fixed Telecommunications technologies, including Access, Transmission and Core Network knowledge (both Circuit and Packet switched) domains, and OSS systems & tools
    • Telecommunications BSS knowledge including (but not limited to) CRM Systems, Charging and Billing Systems, & BI Technologies
    • Cloud & Platform technologies, including virtualization & containerization, API definition & management, microservice development, CI/CD pipelines & DevOps tools, and hyperscale cloud platforms such as AWS and GCP
    • Big Data Analytics & Automation technologies, including ChatBots, AI/ML, data ingestion, cleaning, modelling & visualisation, and data warehouses & lakes 
    • Fintech technologies & applications, including payment gateways, POS devices, AML, IMT, eCommerce, insurance, credit, wealth management, and savings
    • General knowledge of key technology concepts that impact Telecommunications and the broader ICT industry in order to provide thought leadership
    • Enterprise Architecture Methodologies, Standards and Best Practices as defined by industry architectural bodies.
    • Communications skills including interpersonal skills, presentation skills, negotiation skills, relationship building ability, management reporting etcetera.
    • Demonstrable experience in driving large, complex technology projects to completion under demanding timelines and with limited resources.

    Legal Assistant

    Role Purpose:
    To provide support within the Legal Affairs SA team. This role is comparable to what is generally known as a function of a paralegal. Accordingly, this entails being part of and supporting a business unit tasked with navigating the company through various complex legal pitfalls in its operating environment. The Legal Assistant works under the supervision of and mentorship by the designated Executive Head of Division (EHOD).

    Your responsibilities will include:

    Key accountabilities and decision ownership:

    • Support the EHOD and other team members in their various consultations with the rest of the Vodacom business units
    • Undertake basic legal research
    • Drafting and vetting of various basic business agreements
    • Drafting and reviewing of various correspondence
    • Drafting and reviewing of various group wide reports
    • Liaison with external service providers such as attorneys and advocates

    Global Service Manager

    Role Purpose

    • The Global Service Manager role based within Commercial Operations.

    Role purpose:
