    Extension Support Facilitator

    JOB PURPOSE
    TEE College is looking to appoint an extension support facilitator who will report to the College’s Head of Programmes. 

    As a member of the College’s academic team, this role is critical to fulfil the College’s educational ethos and philosophy of delivering excellent theological education by extension through facilitating the support of students by: engaging, amongst others, church training authorities and group leaders, designing and developing support tools and managing support resources. This person performs a core function in the academic team in leading the support of students and their learning experience, including at-risk students.

    CRITERIA FOR THE POSITION INCLUDE

    Education and experience:

    • Minimum of a Bachelor degree, in theology, or similar ministry educational qualification.
    • An Honours degree or equivalent would be an advantage.
    • 3 years’ experience in church ministry, or community development.
    • Experience in adult learning, preferably including facilitating workshops, communication or learning activities, ideally in a distance-mode education context.
    • Experience in information management would be an advantage.

    Knowledge, skills and personal attributes:

    • Knowledge of Biblical and theological subject matter and the ecumenical context with a working knowledge of adult education learning principles and curriculum design.
    • Strong organisational and administrative skills, coupled with excellent written, communication and facilitation skills to support adults across diverse communities and cultures in small and large group settings achieve their education goals.
    • Ability to navigate a variety of technologies – ‘tech savvy’ and curiosity about technology enabled support.
    • An empathetic and friendly disposition who works well in a work in a team and who has a passion for Christian ministry and social justice.
    • To embrace the Christian ethos of the College and its partner churches.

    Head of Programmes

    JOB PURPOSE
    TEE College is looking to appoint a head of programmes for the College’s theological educational offerings who will report to the Principal / CEO.

    A crucial member of a small, professional team responsible for steering the College to successfully achieve its goals while supporting students to embrace the ethos of Christian formation, the Head of Programmes will lead and manage the development and delivery of the College’s programme offerings, within the requirements of higher education generally and extension education specifically.

    CRITERIA FOR THE POSITION INCLUDE

    Education and experience:

    • Masters degree in theology and trained in adult educational theory and principles.
    • 10 years’ experience in theological education of which 5 years in leadership and management role.
    • Church ministry and / or Christian faith-based community development experience.
    • Experience in adult distance-mode educational theory and practice in a multi-cultural, ecumenical context.
    • Experience with Christian church institutions, Christian faith based organisations and ministry in multi-cultural and differing socio-economic contexts.

    Knowledge, skills and personal attributes:

    • Knowledge of the regulatory frameworks governing private higher education institutions, together with educational process, curriculum design and assessment processes and technologies.
    • Organisational knowledge, business acumen and understanding especially relevant for a purpose and values-driven NPC.
    • Excellent project management and team leadership skills, strong orientation to collaboration and cultivating relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
    • Results oriented, displaying professional drive and purpose to realise the College’s academic strategy.
    • A resourceful advocate of Christian theological education by extension and the College
    • To embrace the Christian ethos of the College and its partner Christian churches.
