    Technical Digital Writer

    PRIMARY PURPOSE

    • We are seeking a skilled Technical Digital Copywriter who can translate complex concepts into clear, engaging, and accessible digital content that drives measurable performance. This role sits at the intersection of content, SEO and performance marketing, with a focus on producing conversion-led copy across digital channels to support B2C lead generation with a long sales cycle (average 8 weeks from enquiry to booking).

    Detailed Responsibilities

    Content Creation & Optimisation

    • Write and edit high-performing digital content across websites, landing pages, and marketing channels
    • Develop SEO-driven long-form content, content hubs, and landing pages
    • Create conversion-focused copy for paid media, including PPC and paid social
    • Produce lifecycle content including email campaigns and lead nurture journey

    Performance & Growth

    • Optimise content using data insights to improve engagement, rankings, and conversion
    • Refresh and enhance existing content to drive continuous performance improvement
    • Support A/B testing and messaging experimentation across channels

    Technical Translation & Collaboration

    • Translate complex product and platform functionality into clear, user-focused messaging
    • Collaborate with marketing, product, and digital teams to align content with business objectives
    • Develop supporting documentation such as FAQs, guides, and feature explanations

    SEO & Digital Best Practice

    • Structure content for search visibility, readability, and AI discovery
    • Apply keyword research and search intent to content development
    • Ensure all content aligns with brand voice, tone, and editorial standards

    CANDIDATE PROFILE

    Qualification:

    • Bachelor's degree in technical copywriting or related performance marketing degree.

    Experience:                    

    • 5+ years proven experience in digital copywriting or content roles within performance marketing environments
    • Proven track record across SEO, paid media, and lifecycle marketing
    • Experience working with premium or luxury brands preferred

    Skills:           

    • Exceptional writing ability with a strong focus on clarity and persuasion
    • Strong understanding of how content drives performance across digital channels
    • Commercial awareness with the ability to create conversion-led messaging
    • Ability to interpret briefs, challenge thinking, and identify optimisation opportunities
    • Strong research, editing, and proofreading skills
    • Technical & Analytical Capability
    • Solid understanding of SEO principles, keyword strategy, and search intent
    • Experience writing for paid media and conversion-focused environments
    • Ability to use performance data (CTR, CPL, CPC, ROAS) to refine content
    • Familiarity with CMS platforms and tools such as Google Search Console, Ahrefs, or similar

    Senior Travel Designer

    About the Role

    • As a Senior Travel Designer, you’ll deliver exceptional, personalised travel experiences for our guests and agents. You’ll combine deep product knowledge with high-touch service, fast response times, and a consultative approach. Your mission: build strong relationships, curate bespoke itineraries, and drive sales while maintaining healthy margins.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Service Excellence: Deliver prompt, professional, and solution-oriented service to agents and guests. Communicate proactively and with clarity.
    • Itinerary Design & Upselling: Curate bespoke journeys reflecting guest preferences and Wilderness standards. Identify upselling opportunities to enhance guest experiences.
    • Agent Relationship Management: Build trust-based relationships, understand agent preferences, and collaborate with Sales and Operations teams.
    • Booking Accuracy: Quote accurately and timeously, maintain meticulous booking files, and ensure seamless execution of itineraries.
    • Operational Coordination: Work closely with Operations Specialists to ensure a high-quality guest experience and manage all booking logistics.
    • Performance & Margin Focus: Optimise bed nights and margins, track financial performance, and ensure revenues are secured.
    • Product Knowledge: Stay current on Wilderness camps and experiences across Southern & East Africa, and confidently position our offerings.
    • Systems & Technology: Use industry systems (Wilderness Window, WETU, Smartbox, Tourplan, etc.) to streamline processes and enhance service delivery.

    Candidate Profile

    • Qualifications: Matric with Maths (Standard Grade or higher); tertiary qualification in Travel & Tourism or Hospitality.
    • Experience: 4–5 years in a senior travel design or reservations role; proven experience in itinerary planning, customer service, and sales; familiarity with TourPlan and Microsoft Office.
    • Skills: Exceptional attention to detail, strong communication (English required, European languages advantageous), organisational skills, and ability to upsell and personalise travel experiences.
    • Personal Attributes: Creative, proactive, service-driven, passionate about wildlife and conservation, able to work under pressure, and dedicated to customer satisfaction.
