    Mr D - Mid-Level Merchandising Associate

    Your responsibilities will include:

    • Develop an understanding of what drives orders and work with the marketplace and marketing teams to craft merchandising and promotions accordingly.
    • Collaborate with the team to ensure all of our merchandising and promotional elements are accurately and timeously briefed, designed and approved 
    • Report on the performance of merchandising and promotional activities 
    • Coordinate with the Mr D sales team to facilitate and execute specific promotions and merchandising 
    • Identify shortcoming in merchandising and promotional supply across the various Mr D regions. 
    • Set up, execute & monitor restaurant promotions in the Mr D promotion system 
    • Manage partner collections and in app merchandising using the Mr D system tools 
    • Collaborate with the data management team to execute menu specials 
    • Assist with the administration of promotional and merchandising activities and liaise with suppliers and agencies where necessary. 

    Qualifications:

    • Relevant tertiary qualification beneficial
    • Minimum 2-3 years work experience in an Ecommerce Marketplace Environment/Online B2B

    Mr D Head of Marketplace: Restaurants and Convenience

    Key responsibilities / accountabilities: 

    • Drive partner acquisition to the Mr D platform. This includes identifying relevant partners from both a national as well as hyper-local perspective.
    • Manage and direct the national sales team 
    • Manage and direct the key-account team and own key relationships directly 
    • Drive Mr D’s commercial agenda in terms of  partner sales mix, commissions and tertiary revenue opportunities through advertising
    • Analyze and report on overall growth (GMV, Revenue, Partners) on an overall, regional and hyperlocal basis. Set in motion and drive initiatives to help drive such growth.  
    • Closely collaborate with the marketing teams to ensure effective advertising of the marketplace proposition and its partners.
    • Identify customer services issues in relation to partners and drive improvements and resolutions
    • Manage  the advertising organization servicing both independent partners as well as large (inter)-national partners
    • Drive the overall marketplace promo sourcing strategy across partners and verticals
    • Oversee partner merchandising on the Mr D app
    • Put structures in place to facilitate best in class onboarding, product listing and partner optimisation processes
    • Closely collaborate with Mr D’s product team to improve discoverability of partners and to drive order conversion
    • Drive new vertical expansion beyond restaurants.
    • Target hotels and corporates (and other entities) for ordering partnerships and establish and run a corporate sales function
    • The role is based in the takealot.com head office in Cape Town and will require some travel.
    • Team development with a commitment to succession planning

    Qualifications and experience: 

    • Has a minimum of 7 years of experience in the commercial management of business partners. This includes individual vendors, corporate head offices as well as franchise operations)
    • Has experience in managing a sales organization (20+ people) with track a record of incentive driven management 
    • Is highly analytical and commercial
    • Is target driven, persistent and creative in making contact 
    • Is a good communicator and relationship builder 
    • Holds a tertiary qualification

    Mr D - Paid Media Manager

    Your responsibilities will include:

    • Manage, Run, Optimise and Report back on Paid Advertising channels on a daily, weekly and monthly basis to the internal and external stakeholders, these include but are not limited to:
    • SEM (Google Search & Google Shopping) Display & Video 360 (Acquisition & Remarketing) 
    • App Install & App Engagement (Acquisition & Retention) Video (YouTube) 
    • Managing paid advertising budgets optimally to achieve business 
    • KPI’s Assist business departments with paid advertising requirements, reporting, analysis and strategies Help other business departments understand and how best to implement their digital advertising requests.
    • Keep up to date of changes in the digital industry and setting up tests to implement and determine the viability of these new changes on our internal paid advertising
    • Develop and drive a mobile app acquisition and retention strategy

    Skills, Knowledge & Abilities:

    • Strong knowledge of Paid media channels including Google Ads (Search, Display, Shopping & YouTube), META and Tiktok
    • DV360 and SA360 experience (Beneficial)     
    • Demonstrated knowledge of data analytics tools including Google Analytics and MMPs such as Adjust or Appsflyer
    • Certifications: Google Ads & Google Analytics (Required)
    • Understanding of ASO and SEO (beneficial)
    • Google Tag Manager experience(beneficial)
    • Advanced analytic and reporting skills required
    • Proficient in daily, weekly, and monthly reporting standards

    Qualifications and Experience:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Digital Marketing or Marketing or equivalent or Statistics, Mathematics or Computer Science
    • 2 - 4 years’ experience in a paid advertising role 
    • 1+ years proven success managing user acquisition channels for mobile apps

    Mr D - Insights Manager

    Key responsibilities / accountabilities: 

    • Data analysis and reporting:
    • Collect and analyze customer data from various sources, including App events, transactional data, customer surveys & reviews.
    • Identify trends and patterns in customer behavior and preferences.
    • Segment the customer base to create targeted marketing campaigns and personalized experiences.
    • Utilize data analytics tools and software (Google Big Query, Looker, Excel, Braze, Firebase) to extract actionable insights.
    • Create and present regular reports (and dashboards) to senior management, highlighting key insights and recommendations.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (BI & Analytics, Merchandising, Marketing, Product) to ensure alignment with customer insights.
    • Develop and maintain performance marketing benchmarks to assess the effectiveness of campaigns and strategies.

    • Reactivation of dormant customers

    • Market Research:

    • Utilize customer feedback, surveys, and behavioral data to gain insights into customer needs and preferences.
    • Collaborate with customer support and marketing teams to improve the customer experience.

    Qualifications and experience: 

    • Bachelor's Degree or Advanced Diploma and 5+ years technical experience in a relevant field.
    • Experience using BI reporting tools (e.g. Looker, QlikView, Tableau, Microsoft BI, etc.)
    • Experience with Google Cloud Platform, Braze & Firebase (or equivalent platforms) would be beneficial.
    • Proven experience in data analysis, preferably with a focus on customers.
    • SQL experience will be beneficial.
    • Familiarity with performance metrics, KPIs, and digital marketing is advantageous.
    • High proficiency in working with large data sets and business models
    • Retail or e-commerce industry experience beneficial

    Mr D - QA Test Analyst - 2024

    Your mission, should you choose to accept it: 

    • QA of all aspects of the Mr D Food systems
    • Identify, record, document thoroughly and track bugs
    • Perform regression testing when bugs are resolved
    • Develop status reports based on test completion/findings and communicate these to team leaders including any impact on the overall project plan
    • Perform all tasks with attention to detail
    • Read and comprehend requirements for testing
    • Create test plans and test cases per business requirements
    • Provide daily & weekly status test reporting to test lead
    • Troubleshoot issues experienced during testing
    • Understand test case management, creation and execution
    • Understanding of UI and back-end testing
    • Ability and experience with prioritization of tasks, identification of items requiring escalation

    Skills Needed:

    • Strong analytical and problem solving skills, including the ability to understand and critique requirements
    • Excellent communications skills including the ability to prepare and present reports to a range of audiences
    • Strong interpersonal skills including the ability to promote cooperation between software, system and QA engineers
    • Ability to implement a QA management strategy in line with the overall business requirements

    Qualifications and Experience:

    • QA experience in an eCommerce environment will be advantageous
    • Knowledge of contemporary software quality assurance processes methodologies and testing tools
    • An understanding of different software development life cycles (waterfall, iterative, agile, scrum)
    • Knowledge and experience with scripting/programming languages is advantageous.
    • Knowledge of testing and quality assurance in Linux, Android, iOS,
    • Experience with or exposure to restful API's and using Postman or similar
    • Extensive experience with testing mobile and web applications and developing automated tests 
    • Extensive experience with testing mobile POS devices  - MQTT, Internet Of Things

    • Bachelor’s Degree or Advanced Diploma in Information Systems, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering and a minimum of 3 years of QA testing experience in a software/technology environment is preferred.
    • In the event that a candidate does not have a Bachelor’s Degree or an Advanced Diploma (in Information Systems, Computer Science, Mathematics, or Engineering), an equivalent experience which equates to a minimum of 3-5 years of QA testing experience in a software/technology environment would be advantageous. 
    • ISTQB/ISEB qualification will be an advantage.
