    Accounts Receivable Clerk

    The role:

    • We’re looking for a qualified and experienced Accounts Receivable ( AR ) Clerk to join our dynamic Finance team based in Cape Town/Remotely.

    Day-to-day responsibilities include:

    • Responsible for full Accounts Receivable function
    • Monthly invoicing, credit notes and customer Statements:
    • Timeous and accurate processing of invoicing
    • Correct customer information maintained on financial system
    • Statements compiled, and delivered together with invoices to customers by month end
    • Timeous and accurate processing of contract and sundry credit notes
    • Allocation of customer receipts in the system (Control account clearing)
    • Investigate and follow up on unidentified receipts

    Customer liaison :

    • Facilitate the collection of overdue payments, contacting all customers identified in arrears on the AR Age Analysis, resolve reasons for nonpayment and log all customer interactions
    • Transmit letter of demand to all customers in arrears of 60 days
    • System suspensions for non-payment of invoices
    • Compile reporting on non-payment suspensions to send to Student Experience team
    • Financial Reporting:
    • Compile list of bad debts
    • Generate and distribute weekly age analysis
    • Assist with month-end reports

    Requirements

    • Grade 12
    • A bookkeeping or accounting diploma would be advantageous
    • 3-5 Years relevant experience
    • Good working knowledge of Excel
    • Customer Service
    • Bi-lingual, with excellent communication skills essential

    Project Manager

    Description
    The Project Manager is an enabling role that works as part of Valenture Institute’s centralised Project Management Office (PMO) to ensure that company project management methodology, procedure and practices are optimised and applied consistently. This role is focused on the project management of curriculum development and upload and will support management-level decision making by ensuring the visibility of opportunities and risks.

    Responsibilities:

    • To project manage the full process of the development to the upload of the curriculum.
    • Own and maintain a full project plan and all relevant documentation.
    • Maintaining Asana projects to enable team members to conduct their work independently according to the designed schedules.
    • Identifying and facilitating the mitigation or removal of risks and blockers.
    • Work with other Project Managers and various stakeholders to design and develop project reporting that enables management-level decision making.
    • Meeting with stakeholders and team members to discuss project status and progress and where necessary, problem-solve concerns.
    • Work with operations to ensure that resource allocations are accurate and adequate in order to meet project timelines.
    • Work closely with the heads of departments to implement processes to support the achievement of target KPIs and accurate reporting tools in order to track progress.
    • Tracking project budgets and ensuring that key return on investment (ROI) objectives are achieved.
    • Using project and task management software and tools effectively and where necessary, upskilling teams to use them optimally.

    Requirements

    • 2 years of experience as a project manager or in a similar position.
    • Strong organisational and administrative skills.
    • Excellent command of the English language, verbal and written communication skills.
    • A degree in business administration or a related field is preferred.
    • Experience and enthusiasm for data analysis and project reporting.
    • Experience with project management software is preferred (e.g. Asana, Wrike etc.)
    • Proficiency in Google Sheets
    • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Excellent interpersonal skills, consistently amicable and responsive in dealing with all people across various levels within the company
    • Ability to take initiative and work autonomously in an evolving environment
