Senior Payroll Manager
Location: Cape Town
Salary: Competitive CTC + Bonus
We are recruiting a Senior Payroll Manager in Cape Town. The successful applicant will report into the Head of Payroll for UK, SA & India and will be committed to lead the Payroll department ensuring the processing of payroll is carried out in an efficient and accurate manner in compliance with all legal requirements.
The successful individual will ensure the payroll team work in Unity and integrity to achieve the required business outcomes, the breadth of the role encompasses a range of generalist skills including account management, excel reporting, organisational development, and people management.

Your new role
The Senior Payroll Manager will be accountable to the UK and SA Head of Payroll and SA Finance Director and will focus on developing and implementing policies, procedures and processes relating to payroll, and ensuring they are reviewed regularly for compliance to current legislative requirements including but not limited to BCEA and LRA. Part of this role function will be to critically review existing payroll, benefits and tax procedures, in collaboration with key stakeholders, making practical and value-added recommendations.
As Senior Payroll Manager you will review and update effective internal controls within the payroll function, ensuring that payroll errors are minimized, establish appropriate and effective business relationships with all relevant stakeholders to the payroll service to ensure that requirements are met. The successful candidate will also ensure the analysis of monthly reporting is completed and shared with relevant stakeholders. Developing relationships with key stakeholders in all departments to ensure payroll efficiencies are understood and realized. The Senior Payroll Manager will represent the department in client facing situations as and when required.
What you'll need to succeed
Matric with relevant tertiary qualification and an extensive knowledge of the VIP system. A minimum of 5 Years Payroll Manager experience in a complex environment is essential with extensive knowledge of payroll, employee benefits and complex fringe benefits. Excellent knowledge of Payroll accounting and Payroll legislation is a must.
