    Finance and Administrative Officer: Global Environment Facility-(GEF) - 7, Alien Invasive Species (AIS) (4 Year Contract)

    SALARY: R325 101 Per Annum (plus 37% lieu of benefits)

    REQUIREMENTS:

    • National Diploma (NQF 6) in Financial/Business Management/ Administration or relevant qualification within the related field.
    • A minimum of one (1) year experience in Financial, Project Management, Procurement or relevant field. Knowledge of the Public Finance Management Act (PFMA), Treasury Regulations and other relevant legislation, as well as Government financial policies and processes including budgeting and reporting. Knowledge of strategic planning and budgeting.
    • Project Management skills. Good communication skills. Ability to compile financial statements and reports.
    • Ability to establish and manage financial systems and controls. Ability to interpret and implement policies, strategies and legislation. Ability to procure goods and services and work closely with SCM.

    DUTIES:

    • Provide Administration of project expenditure.
    • Prepare and upload budget in consultation with the Project Steering Committee (PSC). Compile the annual budget spreadsheet for the implementation of the project. Maintain record of assets, liabilities, and transactions. Prepare reports on the project expenditure and present these at the Project Steering Committee.
    • Review and consolidate financial reports received from the project partners. Coordinate the withdrawal of funds from the donor account to the department and the allocation to subexecuting agencies.
    • Prepare and submit requisition forms with the supporting documents to be sent to National Treasury. Facilitate compliance with PFMA regulations and procedures. Conduct audit of purchased goods and compile inventory thereof for filing and future reporting.
