    Product and Insights Manager - JHB

    Minimum Requirements

    • BCom Degree or equivalent NQF Level 6 qualification (Marketing) 
    • Driver’s License and own vehicle
    • 5 - 8 years’ experience in marketing or commercial product environment with particular experience in data analysis
    • 1 - 2 years’ experience in a middle management role   

    Knowledge

    • Knowledge of data analysis and research (Advanced)
    • Knowledge of product management and costing (Advanced)
    • Knowledge of computer applications (Advanced)
    • Knowledge of project management (Advanced)
    • Microsoft Office skills (Intermediate)

    Duties and Responsibilities

    Product Management

    • Work closely with cross-functional stakeholders to develop and execute a consumer segment and menu category strategy and oversee execution thereof
    • Manage activities that assist with driving the key objectives of the annual marketing calendar, including promotions, new product development or any activities within the consumer segments or menu categories
    • Work with BI and Finance to develop sound commercial and customer business cases in support of key marketing initiatives
    • Use key industry dynamics, trends, and internal data to define the core menu mix and strategy for menu categories and to achieve key financial and brand metrics
    • Review and analyse marketing pricing conditions and behaviours to develop pricing strategies that fit within the overall national pricing objectives
    • Work with cross functional teams to manage pricing process in order to achieve the GP margins and MPI expectations of the business
    • Work with agencies and internal teams to accurately forecast volumes for seasonal campaigns and new product development

    Data analysis and insights

    • Analyse micro and macro business and competitor environment on an ongoing basis to monitor the effectiveness of all relevant initiatives
    • Use internal and external data sources (primary and secondary sources) to identify key consumer insights to strengthen the development and execution of consumer segment and menu category
    • Analyse sales results to ensure that resources are focused on achieving promotional objectives
    • Work closely with Food Innovation to identify consumer trends that lead to innovation pipeline development
    • Identify opportunities and challenges with regards to growing the overall menu portfolio and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to quantify, resolve or maximise growth by developing the appropriate action plans
    • Research and analyse current and past product promotional initiative results to capture best practice and foster continuous improvement

    Project Management

    • Work closely with the entire cross-functional team to effectively develop and launch new products or promotions
    • Plan, execute and manage projects to support the broader marketing and business strategy
    • Provide ongoing feedback to cross functional teams in terms of process, barriers, scope changes as well as internal and external partner concerns
    • Work with stakeholders to establish viability of concepts and ideas from a consumer perspective
    • Oversee the implementation of new products within the national system including all trials

    Research Management

    • Manage delivery of research output with agency partners
    • Support the development of an annual insights plan that will support the marketing plan and needs thereof
    • Identify research needs to support the growth strategy of the business
    • Use research inputs to support the marketing plan through insights on product, pricing, place and promotion
    • Regular reporting of key research outputs to marketing team

    Reporting, Budget, and Financial Management

    • Support development of product and research budgets
    • Monitor adherence to project budgets and propose cost-saving measures where appropriate

    Digital Marketing Manager IMEA - JHB

    Minimum Requirements

    • Degree or equivalent NQF level 6 qualification in marketing (specializing in Digital Marketing)
    • Driver’s License
    • 5 - 8 years’ experience in an advertising environment with digital marketing, or digital media specialist experience
    • 1-2 years’ experience in a mid-senior marketing or advertising role.
    • Experience in direct marketing (below the line)

    Knowledge

    Duties and Responsibilities

    Digital Strategy development and execution

    • Design digital media campaigns aligned with business goals.
    • Co-create and implement Nando’s Digital Media quarterly project plans as aligned to the Digital Marketing Strategy, incorporating consumer media trends and media consumption habits in SA
    • Develop and manage substantiated, innovative and consumer driven digital initiatives to deliver against key business targets
    • Partner with Nando’s comms & agency partners to execute the social media strategy and associated activities on various platforms
    • Work with agencies to devise online sales approaches through owned channels
    • Manage the strategy and execution of paid media marketing efforts through a variety of digital marketing channels
    • Suggest and implement direct marketing methods
    • Regularly track and get insights into competitors’ strategies
    • Analyze the performance of each campaign and make optimization suggestions, i.e. budget adjustments, targeting strategies to maximize return on investment.
    • Intermediate knowledge of Search Engine Optimization principles.
    • Generate and manage tags and assist with keyword analysis
    • Stay up to date with industry regulations and best practices for data privacy and protection in digital marketing.

    Digital Communication Management

    • Enhance the Nando’s Brand in all digital initiatives and guard the integrity of the organisation within the digital media space.
    • Support local, regional, and international marketing teams in the identification, planning and execution of new & always on digital media initiatives.
    • Support and manage cross-functional teams and develop media campaigns to ensure that digital objectives are accomplished within the prescribed time frames and funding parameters
    • Work with the Insights Team to assess the ROI and success of Digital marketing campaigns
    • Monitor the content of all online platforms to ensure that it is accurate, updated and correctly branded
    • Work with digital agencies to deliver projects and solutions whilst monitoring and reporting on user engagement
    • Drive the monthly analysis of all digital channels and consumer learnings from online reporting tools
    • Analyse data from third-party sites hosting Nando’s digital content to identify trends and business opportunities
    • Analyse the results of existing digital marketing campaigns and provide recommendations for future campaigns
    • Oversee the timeous loading of new web content, including web stories and press releases
    • Manage relationships with all external service providers, including the digital media agency and creative third-party suppliers
    • Update the Nando’s menu on all online channels
    • Execute all digital activities in line with the Nando’s Annual Promotional Calendar
    • Prepare and deliver presentations to senior levels relating to digital marketing

    Business Enablement through Digital Marketing

    • Drive the delivery of digital platforms to achieve business objectives, including CRM, online ordering, and e-Programs to impact the customer experience
    • Provide guidance on the use of data and social media platforms in line with SA legislation
    • Review new technologies to ensure that Nando’s remains current regarding developments in digital marketing
    • Review the conversion rates reports and suggest improvements to the Nando’s website, managing any future re-designs of the website
    • Work with design, marketing, and technical specialists to oversee long term improvement programs including major redesigns, incremental changes, and page-specific testing
    • Maintain a marketing automation infrastructure and implement best practices, including guidelines for emails, landing pages and campaigns
    • Conduct digital pilots for testing and reporting purposes to develop best practices that can be replicated across the organisation
    • Adhere to audit, regulatory and compliance requirements

    Budget and Financial Management

    • Provide input into the development and implementation of the annual digital media budgets.
    • Ensure all resources are properly leveraged for maximum business results.
    • Develop campaign/ project specific budgets
    • Monitor adherence to campaign/project budgets and propose cost-saving measures where appropriate
    • Accurate forecasting of returns and assessment of past campaigns. (anticipate future outcomes)
    • Manage all costs including agency fees, media fees as well as production and distribution costs
