    Senior Librarian Cataloguing and Classification Library and Information Services (2687)

    CORE PURPOSE OF JOB

    • To be responsible for and oversee the integrity of all metadata-related processes, identifies opportunities for new projects and collaborations to maximize resource discoverability.

    KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

    Skills Development Manager (uYilo) 3 year fixed-term contract (9F88)

    CORE PURPOSE OF JOB

    The Skills Development Manager will play a key role in the fostering of collaborative partnerships with local and international stakeholders to promote awareness, develop activities on skills development and knowledge transfer to support the skills readiness for electric mobility in South Africa.

    The candidate will be responsible for aligning internal and external capacity development activities to the strategic objectives of the national electric mobility programme.

    KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

    Internal human capacity development

    • Use uYilo’s Business and Operational Plans to identify and assess future and current training needs of staff through job analysis, skills gaps, career paths, annual performance appraisals and in consultation with line managers.
    • Prepare and implement an overall or individualized training and development plan that addresses skills gaps, needs and expectations of uYilo staff members.
    • Maintain a keen understanding of training trends, developments and best practices
    • Monitor and evaluate staff training effectiveness, success and annual return on investment and report on them.
    • Support Senior Staff in the development and implementation of internship programmes that deploy different kinds of learning methods such as mentoring, coaching and practical training.

    External human capacity development

    • Develop and manage an implementation strategy for training and human capacity building services in line with uYilo’s Business and Operational Plans.
    • Develop and manage uYilo’s training and human capacity building portfolio by working closely with the Director, Senior Staff and key team members to develop strategic relationships with relevant learning and development specialists and stakeholders to identify and deliver innovative training services.
    • Leads the delivery and implementation of training initiatives, interventions, activities, projects and services to clients and stakeholders.
    • Responsible for the coordination and management of regulatory and quality assurance requirements for the delivery of training related interventions such as training programmes and courses, short learning programmes, workshops and webinars.
    • Manages the delivery of training services within funded projects and initiatives to ensure they align and comply with clients’ and stakeholders’ projects, service level agreements, contractual and funding frameworks.
    • Liaise with stakeholders, clients and communities to promote uYilo’s training initiatives, services and related activities to increase training participation and completion rates to ensure growth and development the business unit.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • Master’s level qualification in a relevant discipline including but not limited to training or education, learning management and development, human capacity development, human capital management.

    Minimum Experience \ Requirements:

    • At least 5 years’ experience as a manager in a relevant discipline including but not limited to training or education,  learning  management  and  development,  human  capacity  development,  human  capital management.
    • At least 5 years’ experience in line-managing staff and team building.
    • Significant experience in design, delivery and evaluation of training of individuals and organisations.

    Senior Engineer Electric Vehicle Systems (uYilo) 3 year fixed- term contract (9302)

    CORE PURPOSE OF JOB

    • The Senior Engineer will play a key role in delivering mobility and energy system projects within the national electric mobility programme. The candidate will have interactions with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure successful project delivery and will need to provide technical lead and support on topics related to integration of systems and    sub-systems, including market research and data analysis.     Engineering

    • Research and development of the electric mobility ecosystem

    CORE PURPOSE OF JOB

    • The core purpose of the job is to provide both strategic management and leadership of Nelson Mandela university’s internationalization initiatives, along the three academic missions of the University (learning and teaching; research; and engagement). Reporting to the Deputy Vice-Chancellor: Research, Innovation and Internationalisation, the Senior Director for International Education will also be responsible for facilitating the attraction, support, and retention of international students; promotion of positive and productive international partnerships that advance the intentions of University’s Vision 2030; as well as facilitation and support of the institutional academic and strategic internationalisation programme led by the Vice-Chancellor and senior executives of the University.
