    Building Maintenance Supervisor - Pietermaritzburg

    Description

    • The building supervisor is responsible for maintaining the plant building, grounds, the plumbing system, managing employees, coordinating work schedules. 

    SPAN OF CONTROL

    • The role reports to the Electrical and Utilities Manager. 

    KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES AND OUTPUTS

    • Maintaining the building and facilities
    • Supervise the building assistants.
    • Assess maintenance and repair needs for the roofing, plumbing and building.
    • Carry out maintenance on buildings, floors, walls, ceilings, doors, windows and locks

    IT Graduate - Pietermaritzburg

    • The purpose of this role will be to assist the production manager in Belgotex’s Tufting department with implementing the kiosks for digital twin and monitoring to ensure that Belgotex customer service, volume and profitability goals are realized through efficient production, adherence to plan and high-quality output of a manufactured product.

    Roles and Responsibilities

    • Capture data accurately and apply critical thinking to monitor and achieve the shift production plan (volumes across all the machines). Ensure that seaming plans, poly’s and raw materials are readily available 
    • Work with the Supervisors / Manager to monitor and capture all waste off the tufting machines and take corrective action to decrease the levels.

    • The successful candidate will assist the Technical Development and Quality department in the tidying up and implementation of the DMS systems.     Production Management  

    • Plan and coordinate the activities within the department to ensure the on-time delivery of all requests thereby demonstrating leadership. 
    • Reduce unplanned downtime on sample production machines by monitoring all work on sample machines and time taken for completion and reasons for samples delayed and taking action to prevent the reoccurrence.   
    • Hold the Technical Development Assistants accountable to report on machine downtimes (verbally and by recoding in the agreed logs) analyse the reasons for the down time and initiate appropriate actions to reduce the machine down time. 
    • Continuously communicate with and keep stakeholders informed of planned production and delivery dates, deviations from the plan, issues encountered and anything related to customer service delivery. 

    Strategy and Operational Planning

    • Plan, coordinate and work collaboratively with other departments to ensure that all product developments are produced through the factory. 
    • Monitor, track and take appropriate actions to ensure all product developments are completed within the acceptable planning time frame.

    • Trial materials being ordered for viewing and laboratory testing. CCF procedure to clear stock from department into finished good warehouse.

    • The successful candidate will support the implementation of the sustainability and SHE goals and objectives of the Sustainability Team, and Belgotex, with particular focus on waste management, safety communication and visual management. The role will report to the Chief Sustainability Officer.

    Requirements
    Position Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Perform all admin and adhoc duties as defined and assigned by the SHE Officers and
