    Social Media Campaign Manager

    Role Purpose

    • The successful candidate will be responsible for writing social media posts, promoting posts, assist with moderating different social platforms, engaging with communities and influencers, creating reports and optimising content. This role will sit within Vodacom Financial services, which has been identified as an acceleration unit within the greater Vodacom group. The ambition is to expand its product offering, and diversify its clientele. 
    • The role is accountable for growing and driving customer engagement across all VFS’s social media platforms. The role will provide clear direction for social media marketing across the whole Vodacom business, working in close coordination with the Brand, Segment and Channel teams. 
       

    Your responsibilities will include

    • Ensure effective strategies and tactics are in place to encourage community engagement across all Vodacom social media platforms and develop escalation systems that alert social media managers and teams, as well as senior business stakeholders, around impending reputational crises situations.
    • Collaborate with, brief and guide the social media customer service teams to ensure the correct behaviour and performance to support business and marketing objectives
    • Ability to conceptualise and enhance customer experience across the entire digital journey, with strong focus on improving digital customer service touch points
    • Drive breakthrough social marketing innovation

    The ideal candidate for this role will have

    • 3 year Business related Degree or National Diploma essential
    • Minimum of 5 to 8 yrs relevant experience essential in:
    • Digital Marketing and channels experience
    • No less than 3 years’ experience in paid media marketing
    • Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
    • Experience with website analysis using a variety of analytics tools including Digital Marketing and channels experience
    • Social media and content marketing principles and concepts, including ORM reporting and tools
    • Community management and digital customer service knowledge and concepts, including metrics and social service tools
    • Driving commercial & operational targets for the social content domain – sales, revenue, profitability, user experience quality measures, adoption of the products and services
    • Capable of working in a complex organisation and able to build strong relationships and credibility with multiple levels both internally and externally

    Specialist CIS

    Role Purpose

    • Maintenance and Support functions required for the Core Infrastructure Support (CIS)  department’s job objectives

    Your responsibilities will include:

    To maintain and support:

    • Maintain CORE Voice and Ancillary Systems (CVA) existing and new technology
    • Maintain and Implement Resilience plan for CVA existing and new technology
    • The implementation and CRSM Support and Maintenance (M&S) of the CVA systems.

    • Maintenance & Support of CORE Elements: CSDB (HLR, HSS, EIR, ADD), MSS, MGW, CDS, STP, MSC, G/MS, MSS, MGW, CDS, STP, MSC, G/MSC, Protocols: #7, SIP, IP, DIAMETER and SIGTRAN analyst, , Element Managers: SC, NetAct, @COM as well as all the other elements in the Common Switching Core: Legal Interception, roaming solutions. 
    • TAC 1 support, of trouble tickets, service requests and change requests to vendors.
    • Special investigations.
    • Interface and Maintain productive relationships with vendors and suppliers as well as other divisions within Vodacom Pty, Vodafone, OpCo’s and National and International Telco’s
    • Daily Maintenance & Support within the CVD department.

    The ideal candidate for this role will have:

    • Matric (Essential)
    • A 3 year degree/diploma in Engineering, Computer Science or Electrical or equivalent qualification. (Essential) 
    • 2 years relevant experience (specify if possible)
    • A Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Telecommunications environment.  (Essential)
    • Experience in the cellular industry with specific experience in Core Networks (advantageous).
    • Experience of GSM, GPRS/UMTS/LTE principles and protocols (advantageous). 
    • A good knowledge and understanding of the Internet Protocol SS 7, SIP, (IP)/NFV/SDN will be an added advantage
    • Relevant CVA / GSM (Voice Services) and new technologies viz. LTE. 
    • Understanding of Voice systems and supporting ancillary systems such as HLR/HSS/CSDB, etc
    • Understanding of the relevant 3GPP, ETSI and IETF standards within mobile communication.
    • Competencies include excellent interpersonal skills and computer literacy.

    Role Purpose

    • This role will lead and direct the sales and commercial function, directly influencing the future of the VodaMedia (Vodacom Digital Media Advertising) business unit. This pivotal role will cover new business sales, the installed client base sales, marketing, and partner strategy.     EHOD: Mergers & Acquisitions

    Role Purpose

    The EHOD : Mergers & Acquisitions role is based in the Strategy and Business Development. 

     

    To consider and evaluate selected merger and acquisition opportunities and to evaluate selected disinvestments on behalf of Vodacom Operating companies in the rest of the continent. In addition, to act as corporate advisor (current & new) to the Vodacom Group by providing in-house corporate finance advisory services.
     

    Your responsibilities will include:

    Evaluate merger and acquisition opportunities

    • Consider, review and recommend for evaluation, selected merger and acquisition opportunities based on criteria such as targeted countries or regions, potential revenue, size of economy, etc., specifically focusing on Rest of Africa.
    • Play a lead role in initiating and co-ordinating the evaluation of selected M&A opportunities – providing direction to business heads, supervising input from external advisors, co-ordinating compliance, tax, due diligence, financial, legal, etc., requirements.

    Develop M&A proposals    

    • Prepare M&A proposals for board/exco review and decision
    • Liaise with Vodafone M&A business heads, with internal technical specialists (legal, tax, etc.) and with local company/operating company business line leaders, as necessary.

    Evaluate disinvestments    

    • Evaluate selected disinvestment proposals based on internal directives
    • Review the business case for disinvestment assessing factors such as rationale for disinvesting the business concerned, financial impact, strategic reasons why the business should not be retained within the group, etc.

    Develop the disinvestment proposal    

    • Prepare the disinvestment proposal liaising with Vodacom business heads, internal technical specialists and business heads, as appropriate.
    • Act as corporate financial advisor to Vodacom Group
    • Provide corporate financial advice as required (d.c.f. and impairment calculations, weighted cost of capital data, cash generation calculations, etc.) to support the finance/accounting function.  (Provided via ME and Chief Officer to Board/Exco).

    Business Development    

    • Lead & engage the organization in the process of identifying business opportunities
    • Co-ordinate the collection of information, forecasts and analysis of market dynamics to formulate business evaluations of opportunities.

    Customers, Suppliers & Third parties    

    • Engagement and contracting of external parties

    Leadership    

    • Management & supervision of teams output & productivity
    • Provide input into internal presentations, Exco reports, Board reports and other pieces of analysis on an ad-hoc basis
       

    The ideal candidate for this role will have:

    Senior Specialists for Campaign Development

    Role Purpose

    The Senior Specialists for Campaign Development and Capability Enhancement is responsible for the end to end execution, control and measurement of end-to-end VodaPay base lifecycle management campaigns & treatments using the multi-step, multi-channel CVM direct marketing infrastructure & channels.

    Your responsibilities will include

    • Review campaign briefs or change requests and build required logic.

    Specialist :RAN Network Quality

    Role Purpose

    • Responsible to monitor and correct network quality impacting problems, liaise with other departments where required, to get resolutions to subscriber impacting faults and generally improve network performance and subscriber experience
       

    Your responsibilities will include

    • Network Performance  analysis and corrections, assisting counties to drive resolutions  - Ensure that network quality is  regularly monitored on all technologies monitored and any performance impacts are rectified as soon as possible
    • RAN Network Configuration planning, Implementation and monitoring – Job Order Creation, liaising with all relevant stakeholders to ensure upgrades and integrations occur seamlessly with post performance KPI checks.

    • New Network Element Integration - Ensure new network entities are specifically tracked wrt performance to have minimal impact on the region, this also overlaps with the NED monitoring

    Senior Account Manager MVNO

    Role Purpose

    The Senior Accounts Manager role is based in the Vodacom Business. 

    • Responsible for engagements to identify and screen potential MVNOs, driving negotiations and MVNO specific Business Case approvals and offer processing. Co-ordinate and drive all MVNO account activity including engagement with internal technology and regulatory departments, on boarding new MVNOs, creating and managing product launches and lifecycle, revenue forecasts , assurance and growth strategy. Identify additional on-sell opportunities on existing MVNO accounts and manage wholesale rates and billing requirements. Drive service’s sales & support documentation, costing and pricing models

    Your responsibilities will include:

    • Responsible for managing strategic accounts  and delivering profitable, long term business from those accounts
    • Ensures delivery of annual revenue targets through delivery of full product mix
    • Establishes appropriate relationships with customers in Vodacom and leverages those relationships to ensure maximum financial return from Vodacom customers
    • Works collaboratively to set up service relationship for nominated accounts
    • Provide input to help with decisions about new propositions, product mix and services for customers

    The ideal candidate for this role will have:

    • Experience in solution sales and relationship management with a track record of solution selling 
    • A broad understanding of the ICT Landscape and Strategic ICT enablers. 
    • A thorough understanding of converged and networking technologies and services.
    • Demonstrated understanding of important financial concepts, the IT&T environments, purchasing practices and industry specific aspects of corporate customers. 
    • Understanding of the Value Chain Analysis with regards to various customer businesses

     

    Must have technical / professional qualifications: 

    • 5 - 8 years’ experience in Account  Management
    • A 3 year commercial (B. Com/Business Science, IT) Degree or Equivalent qualification will be an advantage.
