    Test Analyst

    Job description

    Position Description

    Take responsibility for all aspects of testing, the test analyst will be required to work with development teams, project managers, end users and other groups to ensure some or all criteria of testing are fulfilled.

    The nature of this work generally demands a reasonable level of proficiency in the engineering aspects of software, as the role may involve gathering of requirements, generation of test scripts and test plans, integration with software components and feedback to both the test process and the other teams. The ability to maintain rigorous compliance with project deliverables and industry standards is a prized asset.

    Responsibilities may vary from ensuring individual components meet project requirements to ensuring overall compliance with project and industry definitions and UAT. Knowledge of and experience with tools such as ALM, JIRA and similar will often be prerequisites, as will the ability to write test cases and experience in Agile development and standards.

    The Test Analyst Will Perform The Following Tasks

    • Preparing and maintaining test plans
    • Providing feedback to the development teams
    • Scheduling projects
    • Conducting risk assessments
    • Doing continuous testing and upgrades
    • Providing budget forecasts
    • Liaising with suppliers, teams and team leaders
    • Preparing test scripts
    • Creating new test strategies

    Position Requirements

    Job Requirements

    • A Bachelor's degree and a recognized TA certification
    • Extensive experience in the general insurance domain and knowledge of the insurance lifecycle
    • At least 2 years experience as a test analyst
    • Experience with Regression testing
    • Experience with UAT
    • Experience with Software testing
    • Ability to competently apply leading TA methodology, and associated tools & techniques;
    • Excellent detailed analysis and design skills;
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills;
    • Ability to acquire new skills and apply these in challenging environments
    • Ability to communicate and interact with multiple stakeholders at different levels within and outside of the organizationn

    Business Analyst

    Job description

    Responsibilities

    Position Description:

    Focus Areas/requirements Would Be As Follows

    • Requirements elicitation and workshop facilitation
    • Analysis and documentation of business requirements, including:
    • Use cases/RaD documents
    • Business rules and requirements mapped to processes
    • Activity diagrams
    • Work instructions
    • User Interface design and specifications that link to the different processes and requirements
    • Assessment of proposed solutions in terms of being to fit-for-purpose, making appropriate recommendations based on inter alia business organizational readiness;
    • Ongoing engagement between business and systems to ensure business requirements are met; appropriate traceability etc
    • Documentation of “As Is” and “To Be” processes; including the identification of process improvement and optimization opportunities.
    • Compilation of test documentation
    • Assistance with Systems Testing and full User Acceptance Testing
    • Consultation and guidance to the business in all phases of the solution development cycle;
    • Research and analysis to quantify business opportunities and issues;
    • Compilation of impact assessments, feasibility studies and cost projections if required;
    • Ongoing documentation and communication of updates to systems and processes to ensure that changes are understood by all stakeholders

    Project Manager

    Job description

    Responsibilities

    Position Description:

    • Manage the delivery of remaining VMI Day 1 and Day 2 project scope; from inception to implementation including post-implementation support
    • Provide guidance to stakeholders and project team members
    • Provide reporting and insight into project issues, developments and recommendations;
    • Ensure the robustness and quality of all planning and estimation processes, and support the Sponsor in securing Business Case approval from Opco, together with an approved Project Charter for Day 2;
    • Ensure that that the project has a structured plan, RAID Log (Risks, Actions, Issues, Dependencies), Risk Management approach and Governance methodology;
    • Ensure all expenditure commitments and payments are authorised, controlled and tracked in accordance with corporate standards;
    • Manage the relationship between the project and key business stakeholders;
    • Ensure the overall quality standards and integrity of the project is maintained;
    • Identify and manage the business risk exposure associated with / generated by the project;
    • Track and monitor business benefits and provide regular feedback to the Project Sponsor;
    • Maintain compliance with key regulatory and risk management procedures and regulatory bodies;
    • Accurate reporting
    • Manage project resources

    Position Requirements

    Job Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree.
    • Minimum five (5) years’ experience.
    • Experience in an insurance operational environment would be advantageous;
    • Experience in Agile would be advantageous;
    • Prince 2 / MSP / PMP accreditation or equivalent;
    • Experience in process design, redesign, modeling strategy;
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills;
    • Knowledge of Project Management tools such as MSP
    • Proven track record in delivering change in strongly business focused programmes within large global corporate environments
    • Highly people-oriented with management skills and experience in direction setting and ability to work across organisational boundaries
    • Strong, demonstrable analytical and facilitation skills for the resolution of business problems and delivery of business change
