    Accreditation And Quality Assurance Administrator - Sandton

     

    Level and scope of responsibility:
    The Incumbent is responsible for rendering administrative support to the Dean of and the Accreditation and Quality Assurance Manager and Specialist for projects and processes required for all programme development, accreditation, review and customisation, and for the development, support and maintenance of systems which are part of this portfolio.

    Key areas of responsibility include:

    • Provides administrative support to projects related to the development and accreditation submissions of full qualifications, using appropriate project management principles.
    • Provides administrative support to projects related to the review of existing accredited programmes.
    • Administers and maintains systems related to programme and research development projects, such as databases, in cooperation with the Accreditation and Quality Assurance Dean, Manager, and Specialist.
    • Analyses, collects, and uploads the information required to support applications and works with the Accreditation and Quality Assurance Team to ensure that the information is gathered, quality assured, and prepared for submission.
    • Provide administrative support for Community Engagement Initiatives and the tracking and quality assurance of such initiatives.

    Qualifications:
    Diploma or equivalent

    Experience:

    • Knowledge and/or experience in working with the requirements of Higher Education Legislation and/or accreditation frameworks.
    • Minimum of 5 year’s administration and/ or project management experience in Higher Education

    Learning Content Developer - Sandton

    Job Purpose:

    • The successful LCD incumbent is responsible for the production and maintenance of digital media content and solutions for online and offline purposes in modules offered by TheIIE. This means that print, audio, video, web and interactive materials are created for The IIE’s communication and Teaching & Learning requirements. Although not limited to this, one of the key purposes of the LCD is creating online supplementary content for academic modules which is accessed via the student and lecturer portals, and as needed on the Learning Management System (LMS). The LMS content is created from the Learn Framework, a blueprint document developed and updated by the subject matter experts and instructional designers. Another important area
    • of delivery is the management of the online spaces which fall within the
    • Learn Content Development team’s scope of responsibility such as the online academic forum, IIE Connect, and other social media spaces.

    Key Areas of Responsibility Include:

    • Edit and assemble the learning material/resources and supplementary material on the LMS (Blackboard), for specific programmes or modules.
    • Build new Learn modules using Learn Framework documents developed by subject and learning experts.
    • Maintain existing Learn modules through applying review changes and URL checks.
    • Apply the standards, procedures, documentation, and checklists related to work in the LCD area.
    • Contribute to digital media production required for use in learning material used in Learn Modules.
    • Communicate effectively with other team members and stakeholders to promote cooperation and mutual success.

    Qualifications:

    • A Tertiary Qualification, B Degree preferred, in the related discipline – Multimedia or IT, while formal training in a range of media packages will be considered an advantage.

    Experience:

    • Two years of working in an IT/multimedia environment would be advantageous and working with an LMS (Learning Management System) particularly, would be beneficial.

    Competencies:

    • A high level of general IT competence, with experience in web development, graphics development, using a web content management system, video editing, animation and strong digital media manipulation skills.
    • Web design – edit, compile, manipulate and/or build HTML, CSS and JavaScript webpages and/or other web environments.
    • Attention to detail and ability to learn new software packages when needed.
    • Good communication skills – written and verbal.
    • Interpersonal skills characterised by tact and diplomacy and an ongoing ability to participate effectively in a team.
    • High delivery ability, including the capacity to organise own work and work against tight deadlines.
    • Ability to work independently.
    • Can work under pressure.
    • High levels of energy.
    • Being able to use Adobe Creative Suite as a production tool would be useful.

    • Work outside of normal hours may be required.
