    Field Technician (Mechatronics / PLC) Ceres / Citrusdal

    Responsibilities:

    Installation  and  commissioning  of  new  machinery  from  inception  to  completion focusing on:

    • Electronics and IT
    • PLC and Automation
    • Reduce and minimize minor stoppages and time loss due to operational stops by providing after sales service, focussing on:
    • PLC assistance
    • Electronic and IT assistance

    Engineering Test Technician - Somerset West

    Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following: 

    • The Engineering Test Technician will test engineering prototypes, including data acquisition and processing of production batteries.
    • Integrating systems including AC/DC high and low voltages, structural components, and firmware.
    • Provide careful, detail-oriented documentation during tests, and inspections.
    • Communicate technical questions and findings in a concise and descriptive manner
    • Prepare and monitor the test programs for high-voltage batteries on the test bench
    • Follow test programs for high-voltage battery systems based on standard regulation set out by the company

    Test Technician - Somerset West

    The responsibilities of this job include, but are not limited to the following: 

    • Read and comprehend instructions and follow established procedures
    • Collect all material and equipment needed to begin the process

    • Must be able to work in a repetitive environment
    • Ability to follow documented procedures and give feedback on existing or missing procedures
    • Good communication skills in order to report issue clearly and effectively
    • Experience with battery cycle life testing using inverters and firmware as well as data logs.

    The successful candidate will be in contact with existing supply base (farmers & pack houses and packaging suppliers) and expanding the network to increase the availability and variety to meet their growing demands.
