    Client Liaison Officer (C4) - Reference Number: CLO/KZN/15/05/24

    Reference Number: CLO/KZN/15/05/24

    Purpose: 

    To facilitate and implement the merSETA Client Services strategy to ensure that a high level of client satisfaction is achieved, as well as to increase and improve the level of training and access to training in order to promote skills development and to redress imbalances.

    Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities

    The ideal candidate should be able to fulfill and perform the following 

    key accountabilities and responsibilities:

    •  Guide and support companies to develop, implement and monitor mandatory grants.
    •  Support enterprises to comply with merSETA quality assurance and workplace approval policy to meet SAQA requirements.
    •  Manage, promote and support participation in training partnerships and learning interventions according to set and agreed regional and individual targets.
    •  Monitor all learning interventions to ensure continuous progress, guide and support employers where gaps have been identified.
    •  Promote and support participation in merSETA project initiatives and services.
    •  Plan and manage moderation of trade testing and assessments from time to time.
    •  Support capacity building initiatives.
    •  Prepare and submit reports to Client Relationship Manager.
    •  Identify support and market:
    •  In the development of best practice kits and packs
    •  Sustainable community based programmes including rural and farm areas
    •  Providers where there is need.
    •  BBBEE
    •  Build and develop relationships with all stakeholders in the region.

    Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge and Skills

    •  NQF Level 6 National Certificate in ODETP or National Diploma or equivalent NQF Level 6 qualification in Engineering Studies/Business Studies/Administration/Project
    • Management/Human Resources Development/ Training
    •  NQF Level 7 in Engineering Studies /Business Studies/Administration/ Project Management/
    • Human Resource Development/ Training will be an advantage
    •  Qualified Artisan will be an advantage
    •  4 years exposure in client liaison environment with a good understanding of the technical environment related to manufacturing and engineering sector
    •  5 years’ experience in a client liaison and technical environment with a solid direct training experience will be an advantage

    •  Be able to work on his/her own as well as in a team

    Specialist Systems (C2) - Reference Number: SS/HO/16/05/24

    Purpose: 

    • The primary purpose of the Specialist Systems is to support the deployment, and management of the merSETA cloud server dedicated to innovation software (unique coding), and its operational support in a testing and production environment.

    Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities

    The ideal candidate should be able to fulfill and perform the following

    key accountabilities and responsibilities:

    •  Ensuring an optimal environment for the deployment, management and maintenance of unique
    • coding for teaching and learning innovation projects.
    •  Managing third-party solutions affiliated with Canvas and implement/support their LTI integrations.
    •  Providing second tier support for system users.
    •  Set-up and monitoring of an internal ticketing system for LMS-related issues to ensure that issues are addressed appropriately.
    •  Performing regular backup operations appropriate for data protection, disaster recovery and failover procedures.
    •  Provision of documentation and technical specifications to system users for planning and implementing new and/or upgraded software.
    •  Responsible for capacity, storage planning, and database performance.

    Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge and Skills

    •  NQF Level 7 in Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science
    •  At least 3 years working experience in an ICT environment with knowledge and experience in deployment, management, administration and troubleshooting in a Linux operating environment for Cloud-based: Virtual Box, Ubuntu 20.04, Docker & Docker compose, NGINX and PostgreSQL
    •  Additional experience in the following will be an advantage: Scripting and automation tools; deployment of open-source Canvas educational software; of implementing and effectively developing helpdesk and IT operations best practices including expert knowledge of security, storage, data protection, and disaster recovery protocols
    •  Excellent communication in Project-based teamwork

    Administrator Human Resource (B5) - Reference Number: AHR/16/05/24

    Purpose: 

    • To provide an efficient and effective administration and co-ordination support service in the human resource team.

    Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities
    The ideal candidate should be able to fulfill and perform the following 

    •  Recruitment administration
    •  Staff information and induction administration
    •  Training and Development administration
    •  Performance Management administration
    •  Update recruitment matrix.
    •  Exit administration
    •  Update Labour relation, staff spreadsheet, & Training and development.
    •  Leave administration
    •  Ad-hoc – Manage office budget, liaise with stakeholders, attend to HR clients, arrange meetings and schedule appointments and diary management, facilitate

    Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge and Skills

    •  At least 1 years working experience in an HR environment
    •  NQF Level 6 in Human Resource Management/ Labour Relations or related field
    •  Computer literacy: word, Excel, and Outlook essential
    •  Attention to detail
    •  Administrative skills
    •  Customer Service Orientated
    •  High verbal and written communication skills is essential
    •  Time management and able to work under pressure
    •  Must be very organized
    •  Ability and affinity to communicate and work with people is critical
