    Job Purpose

    Principal Clerk - Durban

    Job Purpose

    Fleet Administrator - Durban

    Job Purpose    

    • Perform administrative functions in the fleet unit in compliance with City Fleet policies and procedures in order to achieve efficiency in the department.

    Key Responsibility Areas    

    • Liaising with customers in relation to licensing, disposal, traffic fines, insurance, vehicle allocation administration, fuel and invoices.
    • Manages vehicle data on fleet related systems.
    • Process applications to the public regulatory entity (PRE) and SAPS.
    • Coordinate the application of new bus permits, renewal, replacement and arranging special bus permits.

    Fleet Officer - Durban

    Job Purpose    

    • To administer the co-ordination, organising and controlling the movement and allocation of heavy plant, vehicles and equipment for eThekwini Municipality.

    Key Responsibility Areas    

    • Co-ordinate the service requirements of the various user groups by attending meetings of stakeholders.
    • Provide vehicle history records and the status of the user groups fleet e.g. Service History, Cost-to-date information.
    • Responsible for the collation of data for tender process.
    • Capturing data from source documents onto the system and maintaining all vehicle and driver licensing information such as COF/COR, PRDPs as required by legislation.
