    Execute internal audit reviews in line with the audit plan for the Multichoice Group. Carry out internal audit work as assigned in line with the standards and methodologies set by IAS. This role also performs analysis on internal controls, providing recommendations on improvements, ensuring that internal control processes and systems are robust enough for risk identification.

    Billing Specialist

    Purpose of the Position

    • Execute daily operations for all aspects of billing across B2B and B2C clients for Showmax and DSTV. The scope of responsibility will be all activities within the billing journey including operational processes effected by Customer Care.

    Operational Delivery

    • Leakage Management: Manage controls to ensure minimum OTC revenue losses by correcting the KPIs discrepancies on a daily basis
    • Collaborate with the in-country team and operations to make sure that billing issues raised are resolved
    • Resolve issues raised by fixing customer accounts in Clarity and as required log Technology change requests to fix system errors or system configuration updates (i.e. billing rules)

    Internship - Content Classifiers

    Purpose of the Position:

    • To gain knowledge and experience within Programme Acceptance to view, verify, update and rate content within requisite deadlines and regulatory guidelines. The period of the Internship is for a two (2) years, where you will gain valuable knowledge and experience within the Programme Acceptance function.

    • In all queries, escalations and issues that arise as exceptions which may not clearly be catered for in the standard workflow, the coordinator is expected to exercise reasonable judgement that does not in any way contradict best business practice as stated in all existing policies and SOP’s for Shared Media Operations.

    EPG QA Controller

    Purpose of the Position:

    • To effectively ensure the on-air accuracy of the EPG and programme metadata across all DStv platforms and products for a world class customer experience

    Key Performance Objectives

    On-Air EPG Accuracy

    • Manage EPG data accuracy and quality on Now & Next EPG by:
    • Ensuring that EPG programme matches playout
    • Ensuring that EPG Parental Guidance rating matches with play-out (on screen bug)

    • Identify any anomalies relating to EPG metadata and quality
    • Manage and resolve Programme data accuracy and quality on DStv Catch Up (Explora and Web) by:

    • Identifying anomalies with synopses. E.g. Linear EPG has episode specific, while Catch Up is Generic and episode titles
    • Ensuring that titles appear under the correct category/genre
    • Manage and resolve EPG data accuracy and quality on Streaming services (DStv Now) by:
    • Ensuring that programmes scheduled to be “blocked” on streaming are blocked.
    • Ensuring that EPG programme matches the video on screen
    • Ensuring that EPG Parental Guidance rating matches with play-out (on screen bug)
    • Ensuring EPG start time corresponds to the play-out start time
    • Ensure that all On-Air incidents picked up are resolved within MTTR (5 minutes)
    • Escalation, reporting and resolution of all anomalies to the correct person

    Live Events / Quick Turnarounds

    • Perform EPG scheduler duties as stand by for SuperSport channels:
    • Liaise with TX Producer about schedule changes
    • Communicate over-runs and rain delays to live events
    • In the event of a foreseen/uncommunicated overrun, ensure that EPG event doesn’t expire on-air (to ensure no impact on subscribers i.e. recordings)
    • Drive active monitoring of Live Off-Air broadcast/events

    Multiplatform Monitoring

    • Contribute to the 99.997% on-air availability for the Business on linear channels
    • Monitor Extended (8-Day) TV Guide on all decoder models and:
    • Ensure that TV Guide loads with all 8 days as expected
    • All channels have EPG data for all 8 days and no blank days for any channel
    • Monitor Extended (14-Day) Web TV Guide on DStv.com:
    • Ensure that TV Guide loads with all 14 days as expected
    • Ensure that all channels have EPG data for all 14 days and that there’s no blank info any of the days.
    • Identify any anomalies relating to the functionality of the service and resolve
    • Action or escalate identified metadata issues with the aim to resolve as quick as possible.
    • Log and record all identified issues using the QA logging tool
    • Confirm that channel launches and termination have been implemented accordingly
    • Conduct ad hoc and special monitoring requests

    EPG Maintenance & Support

    • Manage ongoing EPG maintenance and ad hoc EPG updates on generic/message all channels
    • Provide 1st line technical support to the EPG schedulers outside of regular office hours and assist in resolving issues swiftly
    • Ensure that all EPGenius feed failures are identified and escalated to the relevant person
    • Resolve/ escalate any EPGenius feed failure cause

    Reporting, Controls and Processes

    • All anomalies encountered are to be recorded, escalated and resolved on the QA logging tool
    • Provide daily and shift reports highlighting issues and trends for the day
    • Provide ad hoc and special monitoring reports on request
    • Ensure that all technical incidents not related to the QA team are escalated to Command Centre
    • All interdepartmental Escalations are done to the correct person and timeously
    • Provide detailed handovers using the QA logging tool after each shift to the On-Air team

    Senior AI Engineer

    Purpose of the Position:

    • R&D focused on AI solutions in the market – evaluating offerings from all major cloud vendors as well as bespoke solutions. Compiling technology comparison reports on latest technologies

    Key Performance Objectives

    Tasks

    Technology research

    • Keep up to date with the latest offerings from vendors across the range of AI solution opportunities
    • Act as an internal SME on AI solutions available in the market
    • Consistently monitor the market to look for opportunities to improve the technology stack being used within the group

    Product evaluation and reporting

    • Develop and implement a repeatable process for product evaluation, benchmarking and reporting
    • Provide product evaluation reports as and when required

    Experimentation and solution development

    • Run experiments to test hypotheses with the team members including business stakeholders, researchers and engineers
    • Collaborate cross-functionally with machine learning experts across the group
    • Provide hands-on implementation expertise when required, for key strategic projects

    Community involvement

    • Establish communities of practice for key AI themes and capabilities
    • Coordinate technical events according to the published group AI calendar
    • Contribute to open source projects and public good initiatives when appropriate
    • Contribute to thought leadership in AI by regularly speaking or publishing at local and international conferences

    Qualifications Essential:

    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline with a minimum of 7 years of related experience; Master's degree in similar disciplines with a minimum of 5 year of related experience; or PhD with a minimum of 3 year of related experience in similar disciplines

    Experience

    • Significant knowledge in one or more related fields of the following areas: software development, artificial intelligence, search, operations research, resource allocation mechanisms, quantitative modeling, machine learning, computer vision, risk models, decision theory, and probabilistic methods
    • Experience in wide application of principles, theories, concepts and techniques in modern programming languages such as C++, Python, Java, Hadoop map-reduce, R, Ruby, SAS, Artificial Intelligence Techniques and concepts
