    Seeds Coordinator - Bethlehem

    Role purpose

    • QMS management for Seeds R&D
    • Regulatory support, Variety registration management:  PBR, VL, Table 8
    • Pre- Breeding support
    • Import & export co-ordination

    Accountabilities

    • Close communication with cross functioning internal departments, third party importer/exporters; DALRRD; clearance and customs agencies;
    • Evaluate and apply all new customs-related requirements on an ongoing basis;
    • Obtain all relevant certification documents;
    • Prepare documents and forms to move goods efficiently through import and export steps and procedures;

    Process Engineer - Brits

    Role purpose 

    • Provide a high level of chemistry, batch process formulation and Process Engineering expertise.
    • Project management for the Production department.
    • Enforce a safety comes first mindset
    • Have a strong forward view on automation in the manufacturing plants.

    Production Supervisor - Brits

    Role purpose 

    • Provide a high level knowledge of Fill and Pack and or Formulation within a manufacturing environment with combined maintenance expertise.
    • Have the ability to lead the Formulation and or Fill and Pack teams with some knowledge of chemistry and batch processes.
    • Provide day to day leadership and direction to a shift team, ensuring activities are carried out in a safe and efficient manner (includes coordinating and compliance with all safety, health, environmental, quality, maintenance, processing, efficiency and continuous improvement guidelines).

    Maintenance Technician - Brits

    Role Purpose

    • Syngenta Brits FF&P Plant requires services of a Maintenance Technician- Electrical, Control and Instrumentation. This role reports directly to Engineering manager, with other maintenance technicians and planner as peers.
    • Maintenance Technician- Electrical, Control and Instrumentation at Brits FF&P site is key in overseeing the installation, maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting of electrical, instrumentation, control and automation systems on Site. 
    • The incumbent may be required to do standby and overtime work when required.

    Accountabilities

    Safety 

    • Accountable for enforcing safe work practices and procedures in the Engineering Department including performing Preventative Maintenance activities, safety audits, safety inspections and daily workplace examinations.  
    • Adhere and Conform to all Syngenta HSEQ and housekeeping standards.

    Spare Management: Ensure all spares used are recorded and are correctly as drawn out of stores;

    • Assist in the specifications, procurement, and quality control of required / refurbished / repaired equipment.

    Execute Management of Change (MOC)

    • Modifications to equipment as assigned.

    Qualifications

    Automation Engineer - Brits

    Job description

    Role Purpose

    • As C, I & Automation Engineer, your primary function would be to design, maintain and improve Syngenta Brits Formulation, Fill & Pack (FFP) facility’s control, instrumentation and automation infrastructure and systems. to ensure the efficient and reliable operation.
    • As C, I & Automation Engineer, you will drive site Control, instrumentation and automation systems and maintenance improvements whilst executing 1st level support for onsite manufacturing- and automation infrastructure and maintenance thereof, in collaboration with the site Production, Engineering teams as well as with Syngenta’s regional and Global engineering/maintenance networks.
    • The incumbent will be required to do standby and plant support from time to time or when circumstances require him or her to do so.

    Accountabilities

    Qualifications

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

    Critical Knowledge

    • BSc / BEng / BTech ( Electrical or Control and Instrumentation or Automation Engineering ) or similar
    • Minimum 5 years’ experience in electrical/mechanical maintenance, repairs and installations, including maintaining automation systems (preferably / Siemens and Schneider) is essential
    • Must have advance knowledge doing fault finding on multidisciplinary control, electrical and instrumentation and OT network systems.
    • Proficiency in PLC programming and HMI development
    • An added automation qualification (preferably Siemens and Schneider) will be an added advantage.
    • Experience in Manufacturing- and Plant Automation systems including software skills in areas such as PLC, SCADA,  MES, etc. will be required.

    Inventory Controller - Brits

    Role purpose 

    • To control and manage all tasks related to inventory management.
    • Perform physical tasks, such as the use of moving and lifting machinery to go verify stock quantities, movements, or reconciliations.
    • Perform, as per policy and procedures, stock and cycle counts for all locations where material is stored for both export and local plants.
    • Support warehouse manager to audit compliance to Quality and warehouse processes procedures, correct labelling, expiry dates and inventory movements.
    • Support the 3 weeks firm plan, by that no stock issues to block picking material for production
    • Responsible for production orders control, consumption on time and escalate any issue with relevant departments to avoid accruals.
    • Maintain all documentation related to warehousing operations.

    • Develop and implement an annual inventory counting plan in collaboration with stakeholders, ensuring minimal disruptions to operations.
    • Control perpetual inventory stock counting and investigate discrepancies, shortages to minimize overstocks and remove redundant and obsolete materials.
    • Ensure materials are available and meet quality standards by running relevant reports (MB52, MMBE, LL01) and taking necessary actions.
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date master data of materials, including AGIs, classifications, and locations.
    • Support warehouse and Quality teams by running QA33 reports, ensuring inspection lots are in place and compliance with COA process.
    • Utilize LX03 / LX02 reports to ensure adherence to material segregation procedures and maximize BIN and rack usage.
    • Adherence to production efficiency reporting standards and working on continuous improvement on KPIs’ accuracy via review stock variances, and analyze material usage variances from production to provide recommendations.
    • Collaborate with warehouse manager to improve inventory control processes and procedures, considering past learnings and addressing SAP issues.
    • Maintain comprehensive records of inventory, transfers, in-transit shipments, and cycle counts.
    • Foster good working relationships with warehouse, planning, logistics, and production teams by effectively communicating and addressing concerns.
    • Resolve technical issues related to stock promptly and log calls with SAP/IT, escalating to stakeholders when necessary.
    • Generate daily reports prioritizing Bin and cycle counts to ensure accurate stock reconciliation.
    • Assist in annual financial audits by archiving production order documents and ensuring readiness for audit purposes.
    • Continuously enhance knowledge of dangerous goods warehousing, transport, and safe handling practices.
    • Verify goods receipts, stock transfers, and COA compliance, ensuring correct quantities and references.
