Principal/ Head of School at Optimi Learning

Optimi is looking for an individual that is innovative, has strong leadership skills and interpersonal skills to join the team as Head of Arrow Academy. The successful candidate should have exposure to school management and must have good business acumen.

Requirements:

•  Bachelor of Education (essential). Post graduate degree in Education and Management is advantageous.
•  Previous head/ deputy head of school experience preferable.
•  A minimum of 10 years teaching experience.
•  Must be SACE registered and have a good understanding of the CAPS curriculum as well as education models.
•  Proven knowledge of applicable SA educational policies and laws.
•  Excellent management skills including people, budget and stakeholders.
•  High level of emotional intelligence, strategic planning and organizational skills
•  Must be computer literate (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint), LMS systems, e-learning Software (i.e. CAMI, Mathletics, ClassDojo, Microsoft Team, Google classroom etc.)
•  Must be excellent in English (verbal and written).

Duties:

•  Promote an environment and culture within Arrow that secures high standards of planning, organizing and achievement.
•  Ensure excellent quality of teaching and learning.
•  Maintain and develop the extended curriculum and extra-curricular program of the school.
•  Management of staff, parent interactions and operations of the school.
•  Evaluate existing practices for identification and implementation of continuous improvement initiatives.
•  Implement systems for the performance management of staff and ensure their effectiveness.

The position is based in Centurion.
