    Programme Coordinator: Faculty of Applied Psychology

    Duties include but are not limited to:

    • Programme and Cohort Coordination: Organize orientations, facilitate termly meetings, and ensure seamless HPCSA registration for students. Provide containment to cohorts.
    • Academic and Teaching Support: Facilitate and arrange workshops and enrichment events, supervise students, and collaborate on academic materials.
    • Research Coordination: Manage research projects, oversee ethics compliance, and organise research colloquiums.
    • Practicum Oversight and support: facilitate pre-practicum workshops, offer support and oversee practicum-related processes.
    • Administrative Compliance: Maintain records for accreditation, manage the psychometric test library, and prepare for HPCSA site visits.
    • Participate in SACAP’s Scientific Review Committee and research proposal reviews.
    • Support policy development, participate in marketing initiatives, and engage with alumni and industry professionals to promote SACAP.

    QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCES

    • Bpsych or Bpsych Equivalent Degree in Psychology
    • 5 years active HPCSA registration as a Registered Counsellor
    • Preferably hold a Masters qualification in a cognate field
    • 1-3 years’ teaching and/or supervision experience in higher education or a professional organization.
    • Demonstrated leadership capabilities and strong administrative skills.
    • Familiarity with accreditation and compliance requirements in higher education.

    Educator (Pretoria Campus)

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Teach five modules per term, within the Applied Psychology Faculty.
    • Support part-time educators teaching on several modules within the Applied Psychology Faculty, ensuring a high-quality learning experience for students.
    • Oversee part-time educators across campuses, who teach related modules within the faculty to maintain consistency in delivery and assessment.
    • Provide general academic support to on-campus part-time educators.
    • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in curriculum design, assessment development, and educational content creation.
    • Actively contribute to SACAP’s Research and Ethics Committee, including reviewing Honours and Masters research proposals.
    • Engage in strategic collaboration with the Head of Campus and Learning and Teaching leadership team to foster an innovative and supportive academic environment.
    • Work collaboratively with other full-time educators across campuses in the institution.
    • Contribute to the development and enhancement of campus culture amongst part-time educators.

    QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

    • BPsych or Equivalent degree.
    • A Master’s degree in Psychology or related field is an advantage/preferred.
    • Must hold an HPCSA registration as a Registered Counsellor for at least three years.
    • At least three years of work experience in the filed as a Registered Counsellor.
    • At least three years of teaching experience in higher education, with a strong understanding of the South African educational landscape and advancements in artificial intelligence.
    • Proficiency in curriculum development, academic writing, and digital learning technologies.

    Academic Support Manager: Head Office

    SKILLS:

    • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire others
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and make sound decisions
    • Excellent organisation and documentation skills
    • Knowledge of current trends and best practices in academic support
    • Experience integrating academic support services into a Learning Management System (LMS) and utilizing AI technologies preferred.

    • A minimum of a Masters qualification with high academic results preferred
    • Advanced computer literacy skills, including online systems
    • 2 years of full-time experience, preferably in Higher Education
