Successful applicants will demonstrate exceptional analysis and valuation skills of financial institution clients

Duties of Equity Analyst:

• Financial analysis (of company statements, etc)
• Financial modelling (building from scratch, and maintaining)
• Making evaluations of future performance of potential investment company, through evaluation of past-performance
• Performance analysis (via Data Analysis)
• Finally, demonstrate outstanding attention to detail at all times

Preference is for a B.Com Investment Management with 2 - 3 years post-graduate work experience, with CFA

Charterholder/CFA Level III, although CFA Level II will also be considered.

Non-negotiable:

• Candidates must have analysed Financial Services/Financial Institutions equities
• Applications are open to candidates with CFA Level II already completed as a minimum (CFA Level III preferred)
• Leadership experience (this can include during CA(SA) Articles)
• Advanced MS Excel & VBA highly advantageous, in line with statistical and modelling aspects of role

Key responsibilities in the Financial Modeller role will include:

• Building new and amending current financial models across all sectors (Accommodation, Water, Energy , Transport etc)
• Supporting financial and transaction advisors on complex project finance transactions.
• Consulting & assisting on a number of project tasks on various project finance deals.

A successful application in the Financial Modeller role will include:

• Minimum 3 years of hands on financial modelling experience (Building of such models using Excel - not amending)
• Must have previous experience in Project Finance
• Relevant BCom/BSc degree (Mathematics, Econometrix, Engineering, Actuarial)
• CFA or like designation would be beneficial
• Exposure to infrastructure project finance deals and their structuring would be advantageous.
