    Payroll Controller - eThekwini

    Job Purpose    

    Co-ordinate and control the key performance areas in respect of the provision of an effective payroll and administrative service to the Units/Clusters serviced, with special emphasis on payroll and related administrative services.

    Special Conditions:

    The post is interchangeable within Units of eThekwini.

    Key Responsibility Areas    

    • Supervises and controls the division relating to the productivity and performance of personnel.
    • Controls and maintains administration of regulations and procedures relating to the recruitment and remuneration of employees in terms of their respective conditions of employment.
    • Supervises and controls new engagement/promotions/ progressions/demotions process.
    • Supervises and controls the smooth flow of payroll capture to meet deadlines in terms of the dummy/final run.
    • Provides the budgeting requirements for the functional area to the Manager (Payroll).
    • Provides System Administrators with necessary pay related information and support.
    • Supervises and controls the various administration functions and duties.

    • Diploma (NQF Level 6) in one of the following fields: •Accounting. •Business Administration. •Business Management. •Financial Management. •Auditing. •Taxation. •Human Resource Management.
    • Valid motor vehicle driving license.
    • 4 Years relevant experience.
    • Computer Literacy.

    Preferred Requirements    

    • Degree (NQF Level 7) in of the following fields: Accounting. •Business Administration. •Business Management. •Financial Management. •Auditing. •Taxation. •Human Resource Management.
    • 5 Years relevant experience.
