Responsible for the management and implementation of all payroll activities in the Smollan Data and Tech Cluster – currently: Argility, Cquential, FleetDomain, Ashanti AI, DataOrbis, Mediametrics, Clandestine and any other future companies acquired in the cluster.
Fully functional in Payroll using CRS/DIY Payroll system.
Submission of UIF Declarations.
Submission of IRP5’s at Tax year-end and bi-annual tax submissions to SARS.
Reports for payments, SARS and other third-party payments.
Ensuring timeous and accurate reports for payments of Garnishees, Pension Fund and Medical Aid
Prepare EFT files for salaries and other adhoc payments.
Implement Earnings, Deductions, Company Contributions, Annual Bonuses, Commissions,
Annual Increases
Importing batches from Excel into CRS
Salary checklists and variance reports that enlist all new additions, terminations, maternity etc. for approval by relevant managers.
Recons before closing off the payroll.
Filing of all payroll documentation.
Checking and obtaining approval for all claims, overtime and leave applications in line with policies and escalating any exceptions to the HC Executive/Managers
Creating and maintaining employee files and ensuring that all required documentation is received and filed.
Ensuring that Medical aid changes, withdrawals and queries are completed and submitted through the relevant channels
Ensuring that Old Mutual fund/Pension funds withdrawal forms for terminated employees are completed and submitted to the fund administrator.
Issuing certificate of service to all terminated employees and UI19 forms.
Liaise with and assist the auditors for payroll-related queries.
Resolve employee queries in collaboration with human capital team.
All ad hoc administration functions.
Managing all employee information on the payroll system
Controlling of Leave records and balances
Managing of high leave balances and submission of report to HC Executive and managers
Ensuring Employee files are maintained and up to date
Ensuring POPI compliance is maintained
Ensuring that processes set by the Smollan Payroll Team are followed and that submission timelines to Smollan are met.
Requirements
Minimum of 5 years of payroll processing experience for an employer with multiple entities
Must have proven and relevant payroll experience as well as excellent computer skills
CRS/DIY Payroll experience advantageous
Human Resources / Payroll Diploma or similar
Good working knowledge of payroll processes
Good working knowledge of payroll systems
Good knowledge of remuneration and rewards strategies
Good knowledge of compliance processes and systems
